Whammer
My 08 has the Shaker 1000 in it and I wondered if it's possible for the dealer to install the Ford Nav system into my car. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Does anyone know if this can be done? If the Shaker 1000 system is removed it can. You will also free up some trunk space with that sub-woofer assembly no longer there. There are several threads on retrofitting the nav units. Try a Team Shelby search for navigation or nav Steve

skiph
Speaking as someone who has the factory NAV in my 2008 GT500, and with the latest map DVD, you can buy much better after-market NAV/GPS units then the Ford factory NAV unit. There might even be one you can slip into the same spot the Factory NAV goes. I've also really wanted to add SYNC or some better way to at least have my iPOD be able to interface with the stereo then the AUX port, and there are upgrades available UNLESS you have the factory NAV system. That seriously bugs me. The freaking factory NAV unit even has a "Phone" button on it, but have not found any way to have bluetooth talk to my cell phone, a full SYNC upgrade, or at least a way to interface with my iPOD via USB and some sort of menu on-screen (as opposed to messing with the actual iPOD when I'm driving) Just some thoughts before you go throwing down serious coin for a factory NAV unit. Thanks, I will check out other Nav systems.
