GOT SVT
hello all and thanks in advance for your opinions well, i have been looking for a white 2007 shelby gt since i sold my comp orange terminator this past march mainly been watching ebay, autotrader, craigslist and shelby/mustang sites now recently 4 have shown up locally, 3 white and 1 black 3 at dealers and 1 private seller 1. white - has 1300 miles - asking 29,900 2. white - has 7500 miles - asking 27,000 3. white - has 2500 miles was 30k now he relisted for 27k 4. black - has 1300 miles - asking 29,900 i know these are all on the high side of the market right now, but i also know i can get them all in the 26 range maybe less the plus to the dealer ones are, i may consider trading in my harley F150, which well help lower the payments but will also require me to get another daily driver the hard part for me about ebay was everything was far away and i just was not comfortable buying a $25,000+/- car without driving it or they never met reserve anyway so, i guess what i am asking is - what is your opinion on the value/cost of a low mileage shelby gt today(oct 2010)?? jaydub Mach1
I would assume that the condition of all the cars are the same (like new). I have seen many low mileage cars so trashed that it looked like it had an additional 50k miles than what was shown. Anyway, assuming they are all in excellent condition, I would break the cars down by options and which ones I would want; such as IUP, Shaker 500 vs 1000, sat radio, nav, alarm, etc. etc. etc. Since your exterior color choices are either black or white, they did come with 3 different interior colors: black, gray or tan. I forget their official names. Also, check out what updates or additions that the PO's may have added. There are tons available. BTW, if you liked the CO color of your 2004, they did make a 2008 Grabber Orange Shelby GT- California. Anyway, good luck with which ever one you choose. FordRocks1
Found some nice ones on Auto trader, prices for the SGT's are pretty up there in the high 20's to lower mid 30's. Check this one out http://m.autotrader.com/(S(bhz2j3jokzbnr155oyvjlh55))/Car.aspx?PageID=CR2&id=287205654&from=/make%3dFORD%26start_year%3d2006%26model%3dMUST%26end_year%3d2008%26zip%3d33156%26distance%3d0%26__first_record%3d61%26__num_records%3d10%26__total_records%3d645%26type%3dboth%26min_price%3d25000%26max_price%3d35000
William Rodgers
Go check them out and pick the one in the best condition with ALL records included, if they are equal pick the one with the option you want. The prices are all around the same especially after negotiating. Good Luck

So mine was not a "low milage" version having 40,000 miles on it...but I traded in a 2003 Expedition with 150,000 miles which brought the price down to 16k for the price of the Shelby! Considering I was only expecting 3-4k for my Expedition, I felt like I got a heck of a deal. :happy feet: The thing is the dealership I purchased it at, was not convinced it was an authentic Shelby, but I sent in an email to Shelby with the VIN before going to look at it and it was an authentic...just did not have the stripes, and someone put the king cobra badges on the side (removed already). Even the salesman was telling me he thought someone was just trying to make it look like a Shelby...guess he thought the dash plate and engine bay plate were easy to get?? So we negotiated as if it were a plain Mustang GT Anyway, keep looking and you can find a deal, I used the used car tool on AAA website to search. Jer
I picked mine up Feb 2010 with 2,700 miles for $21,700! :happy feet: I see it right now in MY business... vintage guitars are CHEAP, recording studios selling expensive stuff for pennies on the dollar! Anyone in the market for a cool car right now could buy an SGT (or even a Super Snake!) for a helluva good deal! Jer
