Jer
http://fayar.craigsl...1970300162.html I notice there are no close-up pix, CSM numbers quoted, etc... Off the top of my head, it's a "2006", it's got the wrong CAI and the "signed airbag cover" is from a different car. Plus, the guy's attitude is priceless. FordRocks1
The sad thing is that someone will seriously think its real and be suckered into it and at that price
07SGT4578
hmmmm, forwarded ad to mother ship. I will also contact craigslist, and report this car as a fake, and not as it is listed. Jeff, thanx for posting. Chris

stripnzinc
Does shelby really ever use black marker to sign with?? Every sig that I see on any car part us usually silver. I would even question the sig on the dash on being forged. Also you can clearlly see that the hood scoop is a factory mustang scoop.

stngfever
I'm a bit confused on the ney sayers? So factory warranty til 2013 suggests this car was first titled in 08. Therefore he could have mis typed the year as 06 instead of 07? Scoop pics aren't close enough to determine Ford or Shelby scoop, however, it does appear to sit further back then the Ford one does? The side PIC isn't zoomed in, however, it doeas appear to have the powered by ford emblems. As for stripes being gone, well their are enough on this site alone that have removed them and or changed to different colors. "AIr Bag Cover" from a different car??? Don't understand this statement either? Without getting the "CSM" and/or vin to verify with Shelby, I think everyone is jumping to conclusions on this one! James Hill
The pics are not that great, but it does look like there is a CSM plaque under the hood and on the dash.
mywickedshelby
I cant be 100% sure, but it sure doesnt look like the Shelby scoop to me. And I doubt someone would replace the Shelby scoop with the Ford one............. all the other parts can be had in the open market........the scoop is tough to get and looks like he blew his hand with that mistake IMO........ just sayin.......... Don't understand this statement either? Without getting the "CSM" and/or vin to verify with Shelby, I think everyone is jumping to conclusions on this one! He's listed the car TWICE on CL and both times listed it as a "2006". You can lie about the car being an SGT but you can't deny the title year! There is also no such thing as "Stripe Delete" option on the SGT and even those who deleted the over the top stripes most of the time leave the side stripes on the car. But regardless there is no "Stripe Delete" option so why not say you took them off? There are tons of PBF badges for sale, and CSM plates from wrecked cars, but there is NOTHING on the car, other than the badges, that says SGT. Not the the CAI, scoop, exhaust, suspension, wheels, NONE..all gone. No where does he say that the old parts can be had. All in all a strange post. I sent him a nice note asking for some more info and haven't heard back and suspect if he was serious to sell it, and it was an SGT, he would be emailing me back pretty quick given the number of times he's posted and the amount he's asking. Now, maybe you're right and he's torn this car up, but if anything that reduces the price, to me! It's now nothing more than a GT with none of the SAI installed parts on the car any longer. Jer
"AIr Bag Cover" from a different car??? Don't understand this statement either? The airbag cover is not the car's original one, the IUP trim texture doesn't match. I've experienced this myself, as I bought a cover from a TS member (from his GT500KR) to fill my dash while my original was in the mail to Carroll, and the color matched, but the texture didn't... Does this make the car "real", or a "fake"? Not neccessarily, just pointing it out. Jer
shelbymotorsports
If anyone is able to obtain the vin number please let the registry know. From the sellers ad & their pics this car is extremely questionable. Wrong hood scoop. No hood pins or holes drilled in the radiator closure panel for the pins. That is NOT a FRPP cold air intake. There was no stripe delete option for the SGT. Rear spoiler is not stock. Wheels are not stock SGT. Exhaust is not stock SGT. Shelby letters on trunk lid spaced incorrectly. Rear fascia is incorrect. If this is a "real" Shelby GT then the seller basically removed and replaced almost every single unique SGT part. Why buy a 2007 SGT just to turn araound and remove everything Shelby Amercian changed? The seller would have been much better off by starting with say a regular 2006 Mustang GT...... hey wait a second. Again the vin number will clear this up so if anyone learns what the vin number is please let the registry know. Steve
2BIGFRED
If it is fake I think you can turn him into Craigs list for that. Now that I have one this stuff is aggervating so I know what you guys mean. The shop has mine putting the SC and other stuff on and everyone says is that REAL SHELBY??? It feels nice to show them my CSM number on the car. I understand why someone would want to have one that looks like a Shelby but dont sell it as one and rip some poor person off. Jer The Shelby name sells and in today's economy sellers will say and do just about anything to get paid. If you want to have fun go on Ebay, do a key word search "Shelby" and watch what comes up. No wonder SAI has to stay on it's game to prevent others from profiting from his valued name.

Orion
sorry, but the cars owned by many members here, if listed for sale, would draw lots of questions! Just because someone has changed something on their SGT doesn't mean it's a fake. Wish I could have seen the ad but it's gone: Page Not Found There is nothing here No web page for this address 404 Error

From the pictures that were posted it didn't have the grill, the scoop, the side scoops, no stripes, rear lower facia, nor was it visibly lowered.
