joe17752001
Has anyone used this super charger? I think it matches my 07 black Shelby perfectly. Plus I like it b/c you can keep the stablelizer bar on top of the manifold. also how would i go about getting the gt/sc stickers for the sides? 4.6 SHLB
Joe: I believe the strut tower brace above the Edelbrock Supercharger is not an original Shelby GT brace. I has the Bullett logo in the middle. This strut tower brace is off a Bullett Mustang and is the same as a 6 cylinder Mustang's strut tower brace. The difference is that the brace is a little taller and angles more toward the rear of the engine than the original Shelby GT brace. How do I know this? I have one on my 4.6 Shelby GT in order to clear the Bang-A-Stang plenum cover. See attachment I, too like the look of the Edelbrock Supercharger set-up. It does cover up the ugly valve covers and fuel rails. Sure hope Shelby hasn't given up on offering some nice Shelby GT valve covers. doogie65
Mine has been installed since early last year and I have no complaints. It is a great supercharger that looks nice and clean under hood and can put down some nice power. However I am one that does not like the Edelbrock logo side covers and they never made it on my car. I purposely took my time with with wire routing to keep it fairly clean and then installed some black cam covers (for now anyhow, as I have some FRPP blue covers awaiting install). And from what I have read, the Bullitt/V6 strut tower brace is the only one that will clear without using shorter motor mounts. Shelby2809
I also have the Edlebrock without the side covers, but I do have the strut tower brace. I love this supercharger and I just received a new tune from VMP Tuning, which is absolutley amazing. The GT/SC badges can only be received from Shelby, if you have them install a KB or Whipple, but if you really need them, go to a vinyl maker and have them cut some for you. speedyburd33
The Shelby GT/SC side stripe is intended for the SGT's that have gotten an official SC upgrade. If you were to have a vinyl shop cut you a stripe for the side of your car, I would come up with something else. To each their own though.

Shelby2809
How come a CAI is not used? Did the filter box come withthe SC? thats a good question i noticed that as well. The stock tune is for the stock airbox. Recently, I received a tune from VMP Tuning and it restored the Shelby CAI and included a tune for 93 octane gas. It really woke the car up and as another member on the forum showed, Rear Wheel HP went to 460 (ish). With the stock airbox mine Dynoed at 400HP 399TQ, but the new tune feels like a 50HP increase. I hope that helps, Jim
wnenn
I too have the Edelbrock with a standard airbox and the 5 psi factory tune. It was kit number 25. Installed less the coil covers and with blue Ford valve covers and a Bullitt/v-6 brace. Wnenn
2007_Shelby_GT
I recently completed an E-Force install - awesome power on 5 PSI of boost. I initially had to install the standard airbox to get the car to run properly, but went to VMP Tuning with the Shelby/Ford Racing CAI in hand. Once I discussed it with Justin (at VMP), I installed the CAI and he tuned for it and 93 octane. The CAI makes all the difference in power output and sound! 460+HP and 420+lbs Torque at the rear wheels! Great unit, easy install, and (without the coil covers) looks nearly like the stock intake! Minor mods were necessary like replacing the stock strut bar with the V6/Bullit version, slightly shorter air filter for hood clearance, changes in mounting the heat exchanger for the intercooler. There's a nice long thread around here somewhere about my install, mods, and problems... Sam
