Cold air induction problem and ticking...

Recommended Posts

I came home today after being away for two weeks and started my car up as normal. I noticed as it was warming up a slight ticking sound coming from the motor. I opened the hood and listened. Something is ticking, I don't know if it is the under-drive pulley, or a gasket. Also when I rev the car, or give it gas, the cold air intake makes a "puffing" noise. It doesn't rev as smooth and puffs air before the rpm's go up. When I shut it off the cold air intake literally spits air out, you can hear it--> "PSHHHHHH". I don't know what is wrong, I am going to a ford dealer tomorrow for them to take a look at it. Any one have any idea what it could be?
