CobraKaz
Temps dropped to 55 degree today , so , nice and sunny i figured i'd go for a run . The car is insane with these low temps. Power is uterly insane . Biggest issue now is the tires . If only i could bottle this wonderfully cold air and save it for Track days . NITROUS !!! L82ford
Yeah cool air here but the F1 `s don`t want to hook up. No Kidding! I let it rip a couple of nights ago, but when I went into second I was suddenly looking straight at a field that had been to my right. It is a different car with cool air, even bone stock. ponyboy96
I got to drive my car yesterday with temps in the upper 50s. Got on it once and saw 9psi on the factory boost gauge. Normally I see 7-8. The car pulled like a freight train. It was the first time I've been really impressed with the car since I bought it in May. Temps here have been in the upper 90s most days, so I've had heatsoak issues everytime I've driven the car since new.
Five Oh B
As the F1's harden up when it's cold, may I suggest an incredible tire that works awesome when it's warm, dry, wet, cold, and even light snow? I've been running Continental's Extreme Contact DWS on my supercharged '07 GT and I can enjoy all the power anytime, regardless of whatever mother nature is doing. Pretty much the same thing happened to me . Shifted to 3rd from 2nd , and ,,,, whamo, car was fishtailing . Are there any tires that can handle the power when the temps go down ? GO-SVT
We're getting there.... We can still have 80's here but the days are getting shorter and the daytime highs drop WAY down in the next few weeks. The cars always run much better once the high pressure Canidian air makes it's way down here...

Are there any tires that can handle the power when the temps go down ? You just have to warm them up a bit first (= The G2s on mine fishtailed the first time I did a 6200 RPM 1>2 shift last night, but the second time it barely moved. That is the nature of sticky tires...they're always slick when cold.

AND WENT TO TRACK AFTER ALL MODS DONE WITH ABOUT 110 MORE HP ( 581 RWHP).Very disappointed as the car spun the f1's 3 runs in a row regardless of launch speed and technique which I ALTERED EACH RUN just trying to get traction. The last run I CAME OFF ABOUT 1500 RPM but as soon as I got on it-watch out. I dropped the pressure to 20 then 18 psi..As a result my times were even slower than when it was stock last year. .8 SECOND SLOWER WAS THE FACTORFROM LAST YEAR..This car just will not hook up in these cold temp and even more so if you add hp. BIG OUCH AS I WAS EXPECTING SOME GREAT TIMES

YES I DID WARM THEM UP ; BUT THE TEMP COMBINED WITH THE hard F1 compound just do not hold the heat and yes; it was as if on glass/ ice at times. It probably did not help as many modified cars with slicks were always running ahead of me and the track was almost a cake of sold rubber.I even tried running down the middle / side to help. CobraKaz
The reviews for these are better and available in your size. BFGoodrich KDW2s 295/35/19. Reviews seem good but i think whn i repace the Goodyears , i may even try droping down a size to try the Nitto NT05's . Not sure how they will look though . If the stock rims were just an inch or so wider i could step up to the 335 size . I bet these would hook !!! Anyone try these Nittos NT05's yet ? I picked up a set of slightly used Mickey Thompson ET streets 26/11.5 x 17 on some old 99 cobra rims just for some fun stuff on a track next year . I know they are too narrow but at least it should give me an idea of what the Car is capable of . ( driver sucks though )

Cdvision
It's a great day for racing at Mission Raceway in BC for the Mega Ford Weekend. I just talked to a bud of mine that is out there and he says, 63 degrees F, slight tailwind, slightly overcast and a very well prepped track is making for some fast runs!! Damn I wish I was there. John Allen
Wow , how cold does it get there in Winter ? We are 35 miles west of Denver and AT 8200 Feet. Our year round temp average is almost always 10 degrees cooler that Denvers temps. If Denver is 80 we are 70 and if Denver is 10 we are 0. Coldest I've seen in the 7 years up hear is 27 below 0. Most snow we have had was 8 feet 4 years ago but usually just a couple of feet on average.

I live 500 miles North of Toronto , winter temps here go 4o below on a regular basis through the winter , some occassions below 50 but thats rare . Snow on average here is around the same as you . My car goes to sleep as soon as the first Salt gets put on the road .
