I recently ordered new rear spoiler and deck stripes and they came thru 10.25", having to be trimmed. What year or model (coupe or convert) did the size change? Does anyone know the proper part #'s (2 halves) for '08 GT500, Black 9" stripe, rear bumper. I have these from dealer but, now wonder if they aren't the 10.25". TexasShelby Posted August 27, 2010 Report Share Posted August 27, 2010 Yes they are....in 06 before my car delivered my selling dealer painted my stripes on my vert (lemans stripes weren't available for the verts). They offered me vinyl for $1100 or painted for $800. My stipulation was they needed to match the vinyl in size...exactly...they did a fabulous job with almost no edge at all and less than 1.5 mm difference throughout the entire stripe, plus they painted all the to the edges and into the trunk. The bigger one is the rear spoiler stripe and the smaller one is for the front of the front bumper. There is a difference in 1.25 inches just between these two stripes. Joe Frito Posted September 1, 2010 Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 One thing to be careful of as well, is making sure the finish of the stripes matches, especially if you are only replacing one section. I have a Vapor/ebony coupe that needed the hood stripes replaced, and both the color and finish were off from the rest of the car. The dealership ordered the stripes 4 times to get a closer match, and each time they came back the same....a flat finish with a navy blue tint. I took it as high as the district rep, but it was basically too bad so sad. "Your stripes have been on the car for 2 years, so there is no way to get an exact match".
