BAD SNAKE
I just found this. Like they say, Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. http://jalopnik.com/5614782/new-photos-of-jack-roushs-scary-plane-crash-as-it-happened
EL SHELBY
I heard that Jack stated he was given poor direction by the tower that caused him to be in conflict with a smaller craft and resulted in him making the manuvers he made leading to the crash. RUFDRAFT
Apparently, Jack took the hit based on bad info from the tower. Sorry, Jack. I hope that S.O.B. got his walking papers.
jdscooby
I'm thinking that it is going to be Jack's fault http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/brief.asp?ev_id=20100728X70427&key=
09KR0058
Not to make light of this, and I agree that any wreck you can walk away from is good, but I do love this line from the NTSB report: "...was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain..." EL SHELBY
I work in the aerospace industry and if you ask most engineers they will tell you there are only two types of aircraft; those that have crashed and those that will crash. BAD SNAKE
I read where he lost an eye in the accident. I would think that would revoke his medical card so no more flying.
EL SHELBY
I read where he lost an eye in the accident. I would think that would revoke his medical card so no more flying. At the very least it would restrict him to flying during daylight hours. I'm restricted to daylight due to being colorblind but then I only have (Well, had. I haven't flown in years.) a VFR rating.
