Ford Sync and Droid 2 or Droid X

Seem I read where Microsoft Sync will allow the Droid X to send and receive text messages and even verbally play them over the radio speaker. I only have a regular Droid and it will not allow this option so I might upgrade. Anyone have a Droid X or Driod 2 in use with their 2010/2011 GT500 and how does it work regarding text messages and Ford Sync?

Actually safer as it voice reads your incoming text messages over the speakers so you dont have to look at your phone and you can only use the fixed replies under 5mph. Pretty cool and safe feature

I can tell you really want it--but safer than not having a text/voice message as your driving--Cmon,really.Just my opinion

Well....I think "most" people answer their phone and possible look at an incoming text message while driving, so not having to remove your hands from the sterring wheel to do so sounds a lot safer than the old way. To each his own though!!!

.......and yes I really want it!!!! : )

Can you try it and advise on how the verbal texting operates. Very curious about thus feature. Now if someone has a new Droid 2 and can try it I'm set!!

Just updated to Android Version 2.1 on a HTC Hero (sprint) and the car display still says text messaging is unsupported. So I had no luck with this.

Ya, might be awhile before I get around to that....don't use my car that much. If I can get it done I will post up.
