BIKEBOY
My wife and I always talk about this. EVERY time I meet an avid car guy, it seems that he is interested , for whatever reason, in watches. At just south of 50 y.o. I have about ten or twelve watches. My favorite being a Rolex my wife got me for my 40th. I will never forget that day! I have a varying mix of other brands...lots of styles....many for different reasons. As well, it seems that most guys my age are interested in the old Scwhinn Sting Rays, and the Krate series Sting Rays. I personally just sold my bicycle store that I started from scratch in 1999. In it, we had a collection of about 20 Schwinn StingRays and Krates, hanging all around the rafters! Every time I met a new customer that came into the shop even partially interested in one of them, he ALWAYS seemed to be a car guy too!! As for you 60 somethings....I know that you guys also dig the old Balloon tire Schwinns, (The Phantoms), and the old Columbias. While Im on this subject, it seems that the guys in this hobby are not too computer savvy? Am I right? What is it with all of us? My wife is constantly asking me all of this! Seems we are all cut from the same cloth. Could it be that old pair of OP shorts from 1975?? Im certain that I am leaving out a thing or two of interest to US car freaks. Please feel free to chime in if you have similar feelings or experiences. One last piece of comedic interest from my wife.....she calls my, (our) hobby...Car Porn! Stephen Takach
Stamps and Coins for me. I love to buy plate blocks of current stamp issues. To me stamps tell the history of American through artwork and the artwork is incredible. SVT
David Hawkins
I am very much into Cars and have Never been into Watches. In fact, I can't wear Watches. I collect antique oil cans and memorabilia. Also spend alot of time on the water in my boats. As for computer savy I spend quite a bit of time with different software applications that are industry specific to my work. My wife, kids, cars, boats, and outdoors are my favorite hobbies. ilmor
I don't have time for much else but, as noted in my profile, other interests include iRacing, Camping in my RV, NASCAR, any other auto racing, autocross, car shows and guitar (I collect them more than I play)...oh, and I like watches too, but I can't call myself a collector, and also I have collected quite a few diecast cars over the years...but that's cars again....I like CARS!!! ingram4868
When I retired I put my watches in the lockbox and haven't seen them since. I've collected proof set coins for years. My newest hobby is based around a Bushmaster AR15 V Match rifle. I find accuracy at various distances with varying bullet weights a lot of fun and very challenging. The electronics for shooters these days is amazing.

BIKEBOY No watch interest here, i'd prefer to not need to know the time most of the time, but hard to live that way... It appears your wife got an interest mentioned there though Cars, cars, trucks, cars... everything centers around cars.... nothing older than 1930 really, and pretty much stops mid '70's with a few modern exceptions.... a little skateboarding and a little tech addiction... throw in some beer and tequilla and I'm all set.... ejrail
My screen name says a lot about my other passion. I an an avid model railroader and have been for most of my life. I have an HO scale layout that is 28' by 21' and takes up my entire basement. I have always been good with small things so I detail and paint my locomotives and cars to match exact prototypes. I also build and detail 1/25th scale plastic car kits, adding spark plug wires, carb linkage and stuff like that. I have an air brush and paint booth that I use to paint my models. Since I bought my Shelby, the trains have become my winter hobby while the car takes up the good weather days the rest of the year. Truth be known, I probably have more invested in my trains than I do in my SGT.

Bob Kocon 2417
Wow, where do I begin? As far as watches; other than my Rolex, I collect Railroad or Railroad grade pocket-watches. On the subject of railroad, I have a collection of old Lionel steam engines and some accessories. My largest collection consists of Military items mostly from WWII, such as para knives from the U.S. and Germany, U.S. bayonets and fighting knives, German dress daggers, U.S. and German military firearms. I'm not really a sports guy, but I have numerous sports autographs; some of which include Jordan, Jabbar, Bird, Payton, Sayers, Ditka, Banks, Feller, Ott, Musial, Rose, Hull, Mikita and a bunch of others. Some other celeb autographs include: Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Orson Welles, Doug (wrong-way) Corrigan, Ann Miller, Betty Grable and one of my favorites Raquel Welch (8x10 when she was still hot) I also have collections of this, that and everything else... Lately, I've been collecting (hoarding) lots of ammo.

I don't own now, or have ever owned a gun! It's crazy to me how many of you guys seem to maybe not collect, but at least own guns? I was not raised around them, I have often felt that of my buddies that were raised around them with their Dads and Grand-dads, that they all have at least one. As to collecting ammo.......that sounds like it could be a WHOLE nother story!! LOL! Maybe someone can explain that one!
