1badsho
Im in the process of installing my stage 2 kit form evolution. I figured id start with the spark plugs and air cleaner and leave the pully for last. As i was removing the air cleaner i noticed an air box sensor which is installed backwards from the factory and upside down. It has a definitive arrow and says air flow on it. Its put on right at the base of the air boxin the tube part .I think its a mass air meter. As i looked inside, its a flat computer piece with chrome on one side and black on the other. Its held on with 2 torx screws. I dont know if this could cause a problem with performance but im guessing it probally can .Check yours!! be really careful here ... I cant see ford making that major of a goof. The air sensor is upside down but the airflow indicator is pointing to the TB( thottle body) whichs is proper. If the air meter wasnt correct .... your car would have run like hell from the get go or worse. Be absolutly sure you have that air meter pointed in the right direction before start up dond part time tech

1BADGT500
yea you need to follow the air direction flow arrow on the MAF and make sure it points toward the throttle body... someone here put it on backwards and the car wouldn't run.... I forgot to put mine on one time (I had to return to stock airbox several times already).... and I drove my car and it went into limp mode and the dash dipslayed in green "Limp Mode - Air Flow Sensor" or something like that.... so I limped back home and checked it and found the problem. Sh*t happens when you try to hurry too much.

Tucker
It will not run if backwards. So if the arrow points toward the filter and it runs it's a goof. You can also tell by the open area of the sensor is on the front side.
