GT500 VS SLP ZL575 Camaro

Actually, that was a very benign report, and if anything, IMO they liked the Shelby better than the Camaro overall. You can't site a equitable loss for the Shelby's braking if it's going up against aftermarket brakes that the Camaro had. Brembo's are great, but aftermarket slotted and vented brakes will just have less fade than stock Brembo's will.

Keep in mind the Shelby beats the ZL575 in every category but braking and that is only because i included the $5495 brake upgrade package. The one guy said they were both "About 60" which isn't true.

Base SS is $31,795

SLP Upgrade $22,995

Brembo Upgrade $5495

Thats not counting any additional options like a differential upgrade or even the stripes (you have to pay for those too!).

Total BASE package is $60,285, without the brakes it would still be $54790, a full $1800 over an SVT pack GT500 at $52990.

Additionally unlike the Shelby, you can't negotiate the SLP upgrade (just like the Supersnake), it is what it is. There were only 250 of these made so you aren't going to find someone willing give it to you under MSRP. The new ones I'm seeing out there are being offered for just under 64K.

The only competition to be had is for someone who hates mustangs and loves camaros.
