07SGT5687
Always wondered why these where not OEM. I've heard of homemade ones, but this is the first "to order" one I've seen. Maybe this is old news... but to anyone looking for one... If I was going to do it, I'd probably at least try to get the Ford OEM "Yellow button" that was used in many other cars. 07GTH371
I'm glad to see this. I felt like an idiot for the first couple of weeks looking for the trunk button. I looked in the manual, the glove box, the dash. I have no idea why they skipped this.....

LGSchmidtJr
I like it!!!! I usually do not think about it until i am cleaning up the car and having to grab the key fob to open the trunk...... the price is right also;) Laurence
stsltd
Installed one in my car yesterday - ended up putting it in the arm rest console, right next to the power port - pretty clean, difficult to find unless you know its there Just tapped into the power port ground and ran the connecting wire under the carpet of the passenger seat since you wire it into the bundle running down the passenger side... just another option..... Pockdog
Same goes for not having a button released fuel fill door! Exactly my thought as well! You would think this would be a given since there is no gas cap. Essentially, the gas is there for the taking. I know that you can buy a mini-cap from Ford that locks, but then that seems counter to the whole idea behind the capless fuel feature! -Pockdog

Ah, so you drilled a whole then aye? I want this pretty bad, especially for $30, but I can't get myself to drill a whole in the console. Can I just say, btw, that your car is one sexy bitch! My God! Drilled the hole on the inside of the console, so you have to lift the arm rest cover and reach inside to push the button and your car is very sweet also.... DubbsFaris
Yeah, I mounted the Ford OEM yellow button in my glovebox, in the stock location for the older bodystyle.
07SGT5687
Yeah, I mounted the Ford OEM yellow button in my glovebox, in the stock location for the older bodystyle. That's cool. Years from now if it ever rolls across the block on BJ or Mecum or the new auction of the time... someone will hopefully go... thats interesting, these didn't come with trunk release buttons, but that looks factory original! When you got your car didn't you see the note that said you should open the trunk and bring food and water to the trunk monkey? Else he leaves. If you had done that then the trunk door opener would have stayed and you would have had valet trunk opening service.
