Madlock
It's truly unfortunate that despite the many improvements it made to the baseline GT500, including HID headlamps, the foglamps continue to be conventional in both type and appearance. The same can be said of the GT, I suppose, but those who opted for the "California Special" or added the OEM front lower fascia accessory (that's included with the "California Special" and includes relocated foglamps) enjoy a far more contemporary style that at least cosmetically resembles an HID headlamp, even if it happens to continue to be a traditional halogen light source behind the lens. Has anyone found a plug-and-play solution that would allow the replacement of the traditional halogen fixture with one that more closely resembles an HID lamp? (Again, it may actually continue to be a halogen bulb behind the lens to avoid melting the bumper trim). I would love to find a solution that doesn't require any modifications to the base vehicle so I could install them and then reinstall the original equipment in the future, if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. There is a HID solution. There is a vendor on the GT500 forum, just do a google search. It's a plug and play solution and it's readily available. The fogs on the GT500 are the exact same as on a whole myriad of other Ford vehicles so there are a lot of different options. Off the top of my head 5-6 other Ford vehicles have identical fog lights. jeff cox
Website domain expired 7/21/10, and is pending renewal..doesn't say much about them unfortunately. That is where I got both fog lights and head lights as well, there are others that have them and some are priced almost the same and others are a lot higher. Hidspeed.com is a site I have ordered from, but the warranty is suppose to be for 3 years, but they want a 35.00 re-stocking fee if something goes wrong. That to me is not a warranty. The fog light number is 5202, that's what was so hard to find out which kit the fog lights were.
