OPPS! does anybody know if it will fit over a 3.6LC with the engine lowered?

I believe there may be one coming in the future for the 3.6LC, but from my calculations the current configuration shown at the beginning of this thread will not clear the 3.6LC.

What I know so far.........................I have been told by Matt at KB that the 2.8H is 5" tall and the 3.6LC is 5.75" tall, so the 3.6 is 3/4" taller. I currently have .25" between my Super Snake 2.8H and the bottom of my STB. The engine mounts that I have found will lower the 5.4L .50", so if the .50" mounts were installed with my current STB, the STB would either lay on a 3.6LC, or it would just barely clear, like paper thin clearance. The STB could "possibly" be moved upward at the mounting points provided that the STB would not touch the hood and/or heat extractors, but there are no more threads on the front strut studs for any type of spacer under the STB mounting points. I have a pair of the Shelby Caster/Camber plates, they appear to have taller studs.

There may be a 2010 STB for the 3.6LC application in the works............................

installed mine today it touches rubber boot for air intake does any body know if this will be a problem, I know it will get very hot dont want it to melt any ideas

I wouldn't think that this STB (which is not attached to the heat source/engine) would get any hotter than something like the TB which actually is attached to the engine/SC. The rubber boot attaches directly (clamped) to the TB without any melting issues. I would guess that this boot also lays on the valve cover, or at least touches it. Those are just my thoughts, maybe I am wrong? Now the exhaust area.......that's hot.

mitch can you put a washer or two under the STB nut to elevate it away from the rubber?? (without making it hit the hood of course?). let us know. I am thinking about this but only if it will fit. please take pics when installed. STB will not get hot enough to melt rubber.... don't think it will get hot at all.

Can I buy the strut tower brace if I do not have a Super Snake? Without the Super Snake badging of course...

yes you can but you need the SS hood...this bar can be ordered without the engraving....I'm working on one for the GT500 but it's not done yet....
