mrdci
I was reading another topic and wondered what people gave up for a GT500. I sold my modded Evo 350+ AWHP last spring I still have no car. Probably wont get one till 08 sometime (I figured ADMs would be over around November). So post up pics of your old rides. iceman
It may not seem like it but it was a big sacrifice because I really wanted to keep my used 2005 V6 mustang vert. in windevil blue....but there is just no more garage space and unless I wanted to mke the GT500 my daily driver this had to go. Son of GT
Just sold my modified cherry 87' LX vert only because of garage space issues. I had to make room for the SSGT that's on the way, and it's not hard to figure out that it's cheaper to sell a car then it is buy another house with a bigger garage, so bye, bye vert. Selling it was quite difficult, as I owned the car 17 years and had allot of great memories working on it and driving it. But it has now gone to a good home and fortunately because I sold it to a friend, I'll still be able to see it once and awhile. Good bye old friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories; I will truly, truly miss you.

Son of GT
Bugatti Veyron Oh, har, de, har, har. I'm Soooooooooooooooo sure. Screw buying the 500, just go right to the source and bail FoMoCo out directly!
Son of GT
Yeah really, could you even imagine paying 1.7 million for a car??? That is insane! I would be scared to death to drive it... Drive it? Screw that. For that kind of coin, you should build a mansion around it, then hang it on a wall and just look at it as art. Oh, BTW, don't forget that 1.7 is before the ADM of 1.5 :tease:

Gerry Chase 1128
Traded the 93 Merc straight across for the ADM. Look, no front license plate bracket. That was part of the deal in order to keep the bracket off the Shelby. Dealer was crazy 'bout a Mercury. She had 325 horse to the FW's. I'll send the dyno sheet and the time slip showing mid 11's in the quarter! ........ JK
GT06
Bought an 05 GT windveil blue off the lot But I really wanted a black one. I was told I could order a black 06 GT, But I didn't have to take it if I didn't want it when it came in (no money down; what the heck!). 4 mths. later it came in and I couldn't resist. Traded in the 05 plus the dealer told me I could be 1st in line for shelby. I ordered shelby in March, it arrived in Oct. and sold it to a friend who was willing to pay ADM and give me a small profit. I sold the black 06 GT to another friend in Oct. Luckily (is that a word?) I locked in at another local dealer at MSRP back in March . Currently on quality hold. These cars are worth the wait!
Marc@Kentucky
I sold my 2004 S2000. It was my second one (first was a 2001), but with a new baby wasn't real functional anymore. The first foreign vehicle I ever purchased, very impressive engineering, zero torque.
