davegt500
On the stock 2011 HE set-up, when the car is parked and ign turned off, does the HE coolant pump continue to run, or does it stop running when the key is turned off, regardless of coolant temp? 2010KonaBlueGT
Can someone please post the dimensions of the 2011 stock heat exchanger....length,width (or height), thickness?? Thank you I talked to my SVT dealer the other day and told him about the threads on TS about the '11 heat exchangers being different and/or retrofitted. He said the Heat Exchanger RADIATOR (the part out front) is the same from '10 to '11, that is is the Heat Exchanger INTERCOOLER that has 40% more capacity. So for all of you out there that bought someone's '11 take-off, you now have a duplicate of your '10. And if I'm not mistaken, this is proven in another thread where the actual part numbers from a '10 and a '11 HE Radiator are posted (with pics), and the numbers are identical. Phill You know, thats what I was thinking.....that its the intercooler under the blower which has 40 pct more capacity. On the other hand someone else has said that its the HE Radiator that is larger.

The HE (in front of the car) is the same as previous models.

On another note has anyone installed fan(s) on the stock HE, or since all that stuff in front has to come off anyway do folks just go ahead with something like the Revan unit? Wondering if it a waste of time to put fans on the stock HE.

I can't remember where I saw the pic (I think on this forum) but the difference was amazing. Forget the fans for a second....the unit itself is at LEAST twice as big. I think you'd be wasting your time and money to add fans in front of a OEM HE radiator. I was *shocked* to see the difference. I know *I'll* be getting a aftermarket HE for mine, after seeing the difference. Fans schmans, the double row/pull radaitor alone would make a world of differernce. Phill Yep, I saw that huge diff in size in the pic someone posted. I reckon that the way to go would be the larger heat radiator since all the front of the car is coming off anyway. Was wondering though if anyone ever just added fans to the stock unit and what the results were.
10random
http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58517-2011-heat-exchanger/ Discussed in this thread. Ford calls both pieces an intercooler. Pretty sure the front heat exchanger has been replaced with a two row dual pass version per observations and part research. The intercooler in the block is still the same size.

Is the INTERCOOLER under the S/C larger capacity, or is the HEAT EXCHANGER (radiator) in the front larger capacity? Canadaguy says that the 2011 is 26x6x2. What are the dimensions of the 2010? The same? Or smaller?

Phill Sorry no pic of the stocker, but here's a comparison of C&R's first against my old AFCO unit (their first) from my 07. Bigger, and its a monster against the stocker. Currently waiting for the new C&R versions to be delivered for my 11 so i can mod. When that happens, pic's will get posted...
