Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about an upcoming episode of a new show on Speed Channel starring Tanner Foust and Paul Tracy. The show is called "Battle of the Supercars" and next Thursday the 29th, Speed will be airing an episode called "Texas Muscle" that will feature a 2011 GT500 SVT going head to head against a Corvette Z06(?). I have a question mark after the Z06 because in last night's commericial teaser for next week's show, I could not tell if the Vette was a GS, Z06, or a ZR1, but it is definately a Vette.

The show airs at 10PM EST/PST in case anyone might be interested. Speed aired two back to back episodes last night, and the 1st episode that aired was a "battle" between a Nissan GTR and a twin turbo Porsche 997. There were 4 test "competitions", (slalom, road corse, standing mile, 0 to 100/100 to 0) and the GTR took all but one of them. The second episode was about a 3.9 ltr Porsche GT3RS and a Ferrari F-430 (both cars were tuned to the max), but I fell asleep before the episode ended.

E - In the second episode, the Porsche beat the Ferrari 3-2...Tanner drove the lime green frog-mobile and Paul drove the Italian stallion.

Son of GT,

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it could be a great series - I just cleared out some old Top Gear episodes and set the DVR :D

Sean and I got to see Paul Tracy in 1994 Indycar for the Penske Team....

...seems there wasn't a wall or other car he didn't like running into. :hysterical:

Of course he had a tough couple other drivers to follow, one being Al Unser, Jr., and of course Emerson Fittipaldi!
