Torched10
How long will it take for the window sticker to show after receiving a VIN? mine took 6 weeks last year, but that when they were holding the cars for couple quality holds. Its should be 2-3 weeks max, especially if you know the car is "bucked", ie set for production--good luck, its a great car

Michael Morris
The car does make a few stops, but NOT to the Shelby factory!! Car is built in Flat Rock MI. If the car is stripped it goes to the body company. Which is right there, but it still show going somewhere else. Then depending on where you live it has a few more stops. If the car is coming south it catches a train ride to Shelbyville KY. (not kidding) Switchs trains and them come to Atlanta. Then from Atlanta to the dealer. Your dealer must not sell many GT500s. I cant wait for the glass roof. never been in one but I love the open-ness that a sunroof gives. The dealer has never sold a shelby before. He's a friend of a friend. Last year I told him to pay for an allocation and I'd buy from him...and he came through...and at about 4K under MSRP. He told me if I want to put on some old cloths and I can do the drive off the truck and the prep under the supervision of his tech. Does anyone know of a kona blue, striped, svtpp, nav, glass roof anywhere else? There certainly wern't any available in the country when I ordered..... Welllll, May 16th I ordered K-blue, white stripes, E-pkg, glass roof, lighted sills, nonSVT, and side window deflectors, and its been on "Material Hold" ever since. I guess the window deflectors have got them in a tizzy or something, haha! Congrats on your new ride.

davegt500
sounds fishy to me--are you sure hes got an allocation??did he pay his $1000 to get a shelby as part of the SVT program I asked the man straight up if the dealership had an allocation for what I'd just ordered. He said yes. About the one grand fee I imagine they paid it as they have sold other '11s. I sent the order number, body style and dealers sales codes etc. to Ford customer service (per their request for that info) to check the status....no response after a week. I wonder if anyone else is having the same wait. Probably so. Wait wait wait.

2010KonaBlueGT
I ordered a 2011 Kona blue with red stripes, SVTPP, glass roof, electronics package, car cover. Cool, that's gonna be a sweet lookin' car (I think). As soon as you get it will you please please PAA-LEESE post some pics of it. I'm dying to see a Kona Blue w/Red PP stripes GT500 for real. Not a artist rendition, not a photo chop pix, but the real deal (at least in a photo). Nice car, so sorry to hear about the glass top... <lol> I spent a good part of the day at my local dealership while I was getting my 2010 serviced before the trip out to Vegas tomorrow and most of that time was in the showroom talking with the salesman who sold me my Kona/white GT500. I asked him when he was going to get a '11 in that I could actually look at and see in person. He said they've already had a couple in but they are GONE as soon as they get them in. I told him I wanted to see a Kona Blue w/red stripes (SVT Perf. Pack) car and that I might possibly be enticed into trading my low mileage my 2010 in on it. I'd really like to see on in person though. And FWIW, I asked him about the 11's having some kind of different PCM or system in them that doesn't allow tuners access to the look-up graphs and he said it's a myth. I told him that I noticed the 2.3L FRPP/TVS and the 2.9L FRPP/Whipple superchargers now include tunes for the '07-09 *and/or* the 2010's but that they haven't included the 2011's in their description yet and he said it's just a matter of time. Note: Although the early and late MY's are now under the same part number, the description for each *does* note a difference in HP rating for each respective MY so I'm assuming it's just a matter of getting a different tune for the Ford Pro-Cal that you get with each application. Anyway, nice car. I can't wait to see the pics, Phill

It ain't the waiting, its the uncertainty....do I order a Watts linkage or wide tires or wheels or anything else for this car? Am I even going to get it? With a VIN if they give it to me, (if it exists yet) I can at least get some things on the way.

Hi Stevedm - If you do drive off the truck on delivery...be super careful about the rims. Last year there were a bunch of wheels damaged when they were taken off the trailer from what we gathered. As far as other cars out there like yours - There's been 5 total so far and they are in New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Maryland. Blue Star tracks this stuff out of Ford,so when he says youre the only one with a glass roof, hes for real--maybe he can post on the rare factor Hi Torched10 - I was just mentioning that I think he was the first Team Shelby member with the glass roof. I don't recall anyone posting pics of a glass roof.
steve-o-500
I don't mean to jack this thread but how do you find your sticker after you have your VIN? Grats on the order BTW. I tried to go that route but the dealer had different ideas of what good business is.

Definitely be careful with the wheels......driver scratched mine pulling it off the truck -- and also be careful with the front spoiler too. Some of us had it damaged also while being unloaded!
