Hey guys I just wanted to post that I went to summit racing and they have a Tunner for the Shelby now. It was really easy to do and yes I do notice a difference. The thing I like about it the most is I can put the stock tune back in five minutes or less.

It is pretty awesom it is put out by Diablo Sports and it is sweet. It also has a retune if I add a cold air intake(MAF) and a nother if I choose to change tohe blower pully out to a 2.73 pully. Who knnow what this thing will do just by changing that out?

I still love Shelby.

I have a question for the board. How much Horse Power is enough? I still havenot had anything on the raod challege me that was even worth stepping on the gas for. I have more horse power than I will ever use but yet I want MORE why is that?

PS. Grabber Orange/white srtipe is the hottest color I have seen on the Shelby's on the road but I think the Red/White is the best one to take a picture of.

BTW mine is Grabber Orange. :o )

Oh Yes it was 399.00

burnedgt500 - IMHO - I would not trust their other tunes if you later decide to add a pulley or a real (i.e. JLT) intake.... too many variables involved such as which intake are they refering to (they're not all the same)... and I haven't heard of a 2.73 pulley yet either. I have heard of a 2.5, 2.6 and a 2.8 ... is that soemthing Summit is selling also?

Another thing, if you pulley your car, make sure you get an auxillary idler so your belt wont slip on the pulley!

I would have gone with Evolution if I was you, trust me, you will get bored with hp/tq you got now and eventually you will want way more than you have now.

The first time you get spanked on the street or on the track you will probably kick yourself in the ass and call Fred from Evolution to help you get your car up to where it should be. In my opinion their products are the best and nobody knows the GT500 like they do.

Don't take it the wrong way, I am not knocking the tuner you bought, I just think that if you are going to spend your hard earned money on mods for your car you should get the most out of your dollars and make sure that your tunes are safe (tried and proven time and time again), and you get your mods and tunes from a reputable GT500 dealer who has done their homework before jumping into the market with their after market products.

Did they say who they bought the tunes from or did they do the tunes in-house? I don't believe that there is any such thing as an intake tune which will work for any intake you decide to throw in it and the pulley tune they gave you, is that with or without an after-market intake in it because this will make a HUGE difference.

The other tunes that you got from them are probably setup for the intake and pulley that they sell so be carefull if you go with another brand or another size pulley.

Be careful - call them and ask them some questions about things before you plug and play with your car later. I'm sure the stock intake/pulley tune you got is plenty safe though.

There are some 2.7's out there, 1BAD, Sean Hyland Motorsports is one: STEEDA; and there's a company in Florida, can't remember the name right now but they will not sell a 2.6 pulley, they say it just won't last. On another forum. there was an arguement between one well known tuner and this company from Florida about this issue. It was on "Modular Mustang.com".

Are they selling these with or without an idler?

I would like to know more about the pulley argument? Could you start a new argument thread so we can discuss this?

The arguement was between Terry AKA SFPH and Jay AKA Tucker. Terry makes the 2.7 pulley and was saying that a 2.6 pulley is too thin and not safe and Jay took offense to what he said and responded by saying that they made lots of 2.6's and there was no problems with any of them....and the arguement went on and on and on and on. But if you want to read the full arguement go to www.modularfords.com . If you can't find it, PM me and I'll give you better directions.
