Grey 2010 Super Snake for sale on Ebay

Recommended Posts

I have to admit, in SS form the 2010 body looks great!! I prefer the '07 - '09 style otherwise. If I could get this with a really low interest and have my '08 paid off i'd buy it.

How sad (to me). I guess the post title/pre title restrictions on the SS must be off the table. Based on that ad, it looks like any dealer can ship a 500 to Vegas and have it Super Snaked before it's sold to the public.

I guess I am just missing the problem. I guy has a dealership. He gets a gt500 decides to send it to Shelby to get the SS package. He gets the low HP version so that there is still some warranty. Shelby gets paid for the conversion. He offers to sell it for a fair price. Who is being wronged here?

Like Enis stated "I guess the post title/pre title restrictions on the SS must be off the table. Based on that ad, it looks like any dealer can ship a 500 to Vegas and have it Super Snaked before it's sold to the public."

The key is the word restriction.

HUH???

What are you talking about? The auction description clearly says it's a private seller, NOT a dealer.

That would make it POST SALE mods, not pre-sale (federal law prohibits pre-sale mods).

He also says he unloaded it off of the trailer and immediately drove it into HIS GARAGE.

Sounds like a *private* sale to me!

Well, hot damn, you are absolutely correct, and I am a boob. I did not read the entire ad, and made my ASSumption off the first sentence off the sales description paragraph that the car was sent to SA from the dealer who was then flipping the car in their showroom.

I stand corrected, happy that the post title requirement is still enforce, and apologize to all for my misinterpretation (anyone want to play Scrabble with that word? :hysterical:) of the ad.

As the late, great, Gilda Radner used to say as Emily Litella (an OLD Sat. Night Live reference for you young ones)...

It is assumptions like stated above that cause continuous speculation. If you need to know, please call and get the straight answer to these questions.

To clarify, the restrictions on post and pre-title modifications has been, is and always will be in place. We do not work on any vehicle until we have a confirmed registration. Nothing has changed.

In addition, we can now complete any additional modifications outside the SS program. We build the vehicles to spec. and badge. It then moves to Shelby Motorsport Division where modifications are performed and billed separately.

If a dealer chooses to purchase a vehicle for their dealership it must be titled and registered. It is considered, to my knowledge, a used vehicle. It may have no miles on the odometer, but it is a used vehicle.

Yeah, but I'll bet it sells for more than what I paid for my car and the cost of if I just had mine done.

And yer right, I have been wanting a SS...ever since *before* I bought my car...a KONA BLUE WITH WHITE STRIPE/S SS! <LOL>

Did you see my other post re: getting together some weekend? No more staying at Brandon's but my neighbors daughter just moved into the same HOA you live in.

She cuts my hair so I could mix business and pleasure, if I time it right.

See ya,

Phill

Every time I get close to talking myself into a SS, something like this rears its ugly head.

So hard to debate when it comes to making the decision of getting your car SSed :banghead:

REAL busy this weekend with HOA Summer Social going on and me being on the Board, doing most of the work.

Tomorrow is a gun show @ Phil Long Center I need to return a bi-pod to so Sunday isn't a good day either. Next weekend we should be in Vegas at the Wynn for a few days, weekend after that.....??????

Who said there's nothing to do when you retire!? They're lyin'!

I'll hit ya in a PM and we'll hook up. FWIW, EVERY day is a Saturday for me so middle of the week is doable too.

I would REALLY like to check out your "mod" before I plop the coin on mine, which I am JUST about to do.

Talk to ya later, I gotta go get 3 generators for the picnic....

Busy busy busy,

We'll get together soon, maybe in a couple of weeks. We were in Vegas this week on vacation and visited SA a couple of times investigating making the car a SS. Saw a couple of different Kona Blue SS's, and the black stripe is growing on me. (white would still look better). There were probably 8 2010 SS's in progress and 1 2011 that I saw. One of the new options is a 3.6 KB with the package. They had a 07 SS in the museum with the 3.6 KB on it and it looks sweet. 800+ HP also. Its all a lot of money though, and a big decision, so more thinking to do....

Later dude,

Barry
