Heya Gramps, use the zoom button, its a pdf file! 12-17 would be the key numbers to build number. Looking at it it says number sequence...is that to mean thats the build number? Sequence doesnt necessarily mean its human readable. Or does it? I see a check digit could be like UPC code..an alogarithm. Inquiring minds want to know! If it is, my car is in the 9xxx range, hard to believe. KC666

P.S. Yes TTB...I kept a copy of the decode sheet you posted some time back...it's in my Mustang pic folder with the other 12,439 pics. I think I need a bigger hard drive. jumpincactus
Here is what I have on file. Hope this helps. From using the ole geezer zoom on Adobe I was able to determine that the last 6 characters are not our GT500 build sequence # but the overall number of total vehicles built at that plant, My last 6 were 231345. Which tells me that the Flatrock plant when building my car was registering mine as the 231,345. thousand th vehicle. I used the guide and all other inforamtion from HP rating engine size year etc were right on. Hope this helps.....
