shelbymotorsports
"Brand new" KR hoods do not come painted, do not come with installed hood pin knobs and do not come with weatherstripping installed. Take that for what its worth. Its also interesting what aftermarket hood he purchased 30 days ago. Hood Purchase

Hood Purchase I realize they don't come "ready to install" just passing along the listing details (with a grain of salt). Also, I agree that IS very interesting the CF aftermarket that he purchased a month ago. The plot thickens...

Hood Purchase the hood that was purchased a month ago was for a customer"s mustang gt, not the same hood , kind of obvious from the pictures, i installed and later removed the weatherstriping on the KR hood , it does not come with hood pins, do you see hood pins ?? No one here said it was the same hood. Some of us were just commenting that if someone had a "real" hood in their possession why would they purchase an ebay knock off hood? It seems that struck a nerve pointing that out. Any restricted parts sales will always be scrutinized by the Shelby community. Good luck with your sale. springer
This guy has not provided one bit of evidence that the hood is genuine. Most copies, or counterfeits, are made from genuine item. Some copies are very deceptive to the untrained observer. These hoods cost what - $10,000 from SAI. I'm sure SAI can account for every hood they have sold that didn't come on the car. My concern here is whether this seller aims to represent an aftermarket or counterfeit item as being genuine when it is not. And, claiming it to be genuine, when it is not, could lead to very adverse consequences. So, if it is genuine, he needs to provide some type of providence to authenticate the hood being genuine. We've all seen plenty of "junk" on ebay that claims to be genuine Shelby parts, which are really nothing more than fraudulent auctions to enhance its value to the unwary and untrained buyers on ebay. jmn444
And really, why does anybody that isn't buying it really care? It's clear that the people bidding thousands on it would know why it's worth so much.
