Front Bumper Cover

I was driving home from work today, when someone's loose cargo flew out of the truck and hit the front of the semi in the lane next to me. The particle board blew up into little pieces, except for one chunk that knifed my chin spoiler at 60mph. Everything seems to be OK with the exception of a chip in the paint at the corner of the bumper and a cut in the chin spoiler. The only thing I have a question about is how the front bumper mounts to the car. I noticed that it's easy to pull away from the fenders on both sides, but not very far. Everything still lines up perfectly.

I have attached the example picture. Is this normal? I never bothered to check before the incident. I just want to make sure none of the fasteners are loose or broken behind the bumper, causing fitment issues over time. Could someone with a clean bumper check how their bumper fastens beneath the fenders?

Like Cbr1000 states, it's a bit hard to tell from the photo with all the reflections and angle and being so close as to the exact location and the amount of movement. I believe there is some play in the bodywork..but not a ton. I'll look at mine in the morning if no one else answers.

This is the seam between the front bumper and fender. It is flush and fits fine, I am pulling on it with slight pressure to pull away like that.

It is normal, that is how you remove the cover after all the fasteners are out.

Awesome, I was pretty sure it was normal, just wanted to double check. It looks like I made it out OK, minus the damage to the chin spoiler, but it's days are numbered anyways.
