SVT Dash Light Illuminates

Recommended Posts

Thx! Do the Shelby SS techs program the shift light for the SS, or are the shift points the same as an unmodified GT500?

Jim

Jim you can program the shift light to come on at whatever RPM you want it to. I programmed shortly after I got the car (way back in 2006!) so i dont remember the steps but it is in the owners manual.

My owner's manual is packed away in storage otherwise I would look there, but while getting on the Snake, the SVT light under the tach number's lights up. Any one know why?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Is it on a 2010?

You program it through the info/reset buttons.

Phill,

I have a 2008.

Thx,

Jim

Someone with a '08 will have to chime in because I'm not sure how you program the SVT/shift light on that one....

The shift light is owner preference. If it were me I would set it to the max and if it were my father it would be set at 3500rpm......Adjusting them is not standard procedure for an SS build. At least not a year and a half ago when I was building them. B)

Items like this should be addressed in the owner's manual.

Jim

My owners manual shows me how I can change the shift light and shift tone RPM <?shrug?>.

Yours doesn't?
