Hello

I recently purchased a 2010 GT500 and figured I should also join this forum. I had a 2011 5.0 on order that was built on 4/19 that is still on hold due to undisclosed quality holds. I got fed up, canceled that order and purchased the Shelby instead. I think I made the right choice.

Here are some pics:

Hey welcome to the forum and congrats on the Shelby purchase, the black on black really does look pretty sinister!!! You'd have enjoyed the 2011 5.0 but I have a feeling the Shelby's exhaust and SC whine will let you know you made a good choice in the end.

BTW: I wouldn't park there you might get your new car towed!!! :rant2:

Just like mine and is difficult to keep clean in SE Texas, but one of the best looking when it is clean...

I was going ti buy a 2011 5.0 vert and mod it. But for the money difference it was hard to pass the extra power and uniqueness, I dont think I could have made the same amount of power for the money difference and of course the warranty would be gone on the 2011 trying to do so. I still cant believe how much attention this car draws, granted this is Mustang country around here but it gets waves and thumbs up wherever it goes. I'm pretty sure that wouldnt happen with a 2011 5.0 mustang.

Great looking car, I think you made the right choice.

Thanks!

I used the same logic you did to push me in the direction of the Shelby. I have also experienced a crazy amount of attention due to the car. I had one guy in a older trans am comment that he wasn't a fan of mustangs but the Shelby and Cobras are bad a$$. I think that comment sums of the universal appeal the car has. I know that the 5.0, while nice, would be just another mustang in a year's time.

Glad everyone likes the color combo I have the same. I think its funny. When you see a pic ,the stripes don't show on the sides.

Shhh!! these are our covert shelby's... ;)

Ya, i love our triple black gt500s.

but yea, I do sometimes forget they are on the sides when i get to my car in the parking lot hehe.

Congrats on the new ride. So when do you drive to Mod City? I like the Triple Black too! I have a Roush Black Jack for the roadtrack. Enjoy!!

Thanks

My drive to mod city won't be for a while as I don't want to do something to my engine that may invalidate a warranty claim. I do plan on visiting mod town though (simple bolt-ons and small visual enhancements)

All my Mods have been FRPP installed by the Ford Dealer to keep my warranty. Mostly dress up but the CAI, Gears & Throttle Body all give it some go! Enjoy that great ride! By lots of quick detailer for in the shade!
