SteelTownStang
Hello, While installing the VMP pulley over the weekend I noticed a small bubble/defect in the hose pictured below. It is probably nothing, but I don’t what to take any chances. I’d like to replace it with an OEM part, or even a silicone hose, but I can not find this part anywhere. I don’t want to go to the dealership. The part number stamped on the side is: 7R3V 8A586 BB. There is also another number: 741 9159 0744. I Googled both numbers without success. I’d appreciate any assistance with identifying or locating this part. Thanks!!!
6-Speed
Might try contacting Silver State Ford Parts.com. I found a list of cooling system components including hoses categorized as follows: Cooling\Radiator and components\Coolant Hose\Front Make sure you look for the 5.4L. The site would not allow me to post a direct link to what I see. I believe the hose you're referring to is #13 - Coolant Hose Front http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214290

I saw this same parts picture on another site and thought the same... #13, however, the shape appears to be different, or it's just a poor representation. Anyone else...? Slabo
I think the easiest way to find the correct part number is the local Ford dealer parts counter. I do this all the time. Its always good to have a good relationship with the parts guy.
6-Speed
Thanks. I saw this same parts picture on another site and thought the same... #13, however, the shape appears to be different, or it's just a poor representation. Anyone else...? It's probably just a poor representation. The hose does drop down a bit on the passenger's side. You can also give Silver State a call, they have a very knowledgeable staff and should be able to work directly with the part number. They have in the past emailed me much better illustrations of parts to help me select the right one. Their prices are much better than what you'd get at your local parts department. smallb69
I had to replace my upper radiator hose and unfortunately it was only available from the dealer. Even more unfortunate was that little b!#ch cost $70+. If you aren't in a rush Tousley or Silverstate should be able to get it for you cheaper, but when you add in shipping it may be a wash.
