Just got back from the dealership! Traded the 2010 for the new 2011 SVT Trackpak today! [a little Trivia, the Window Sticker for Canadian-destined cars call it an "SVT Trakpak" rather than "SVT Performance Pak"] interesting tid-bit!?!?!?!

Very nice. The best color combo as well. Congratulations!

If you don't mind me asking. What kind of hit did you take trading up to the 2011?

It wasn't fun!

Figure a drop of $10k ( my car had 1,400 miles), and very shortly, Ford is going to come out with a cash incentive on left over 2010 Shelbys, so this could hurt you by another $5k?, then of course, the loaded 2011 is an additional $4k ....so you can add it up.

But despite it all, I'm happy about the trade. Probably should have waited for the 2011 in the first place, of course!

Looks great!!! I can't wait to see it tomorrow. I was torn between the 2010 and 2011. If I was a road race guy I probably would have coughed up the extra cash for the 2011. Even though I'm sure the new aluminium block will be fine I'm always a bit paranoid when it comes to a new enigine and I felt more comfortable with the tried and true cast iron boat anchor block. The new wheels look awesome in person and those tires rock!! Did you get it from Coastal Ford?

Since January I have purchased 5 vehicles and traded-in 6 to them! Crazy but true. They've been very good to me - and to a couple friends that I have sent their way!!

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Shall I cronicle the events? LOL

Traded in vehicles:

1968 Mustang GT Fastback

2007 Shelby GT

2008 ROUSH BlackJack convertible

2009 Ford Escape

2010 Shelby GT500 vert (sterling gray)

2010 Shelby GT500 vert (black)

[at one time, they had 4 cars that I had previously owned on their showroom floor]

Purchased

2010 Ford Escape

2010 Ford Ranger

2010 Shelby GT500 vert (sterling gray)

2010 Shelby GT500 vert (black)

2011 Shelby GT500 vert w/performance package (black)

Now own:

2010 Ford Escape

2011 Shelby GT500 vert w/performance package (black)

2010 Ford Ranger

and a 2000 Cobra R (which I had prior to the above)

Summary: Traded-in 6 vehicles / Purchased 5 Retained 3 (pluse the Cobra R that was already in the stable)

Did I break any records? Perhaps!
