Not sure about the cup holder lid (I'm sure I can find a better place to put the emblem), but I like the cf piece & the sig on it. Especially if you have a cf console or stereo/ nav interface. I'm sure the price is a reflection of the CS signature piece. Unfortunately some of the plastic pieces that get used more often get scratched up, hence people going with CF interior pieces instead of replacing it for another plastic piece.

The interior is perfect in these cars, sporty, classic and well put together, I wouldn’t touch a thing!

The only addition I would like to see from Ford would be to have the Shelby Cobra emblems on the doors like the GT's have the Pony.

Agreed. I got some Lloyd's mats with the big silver cobras on them and think they look perfect (Just need to cut another small hole so the floor hooks line up).

All you haters have completely miscalulated the value of this piece.

Step 1) Head to Hertz and pick up a nice, slightly used, 2010 Mustang coupe for $17,800.

Step 2) Buy and install the carbon fiber Shelby signature console. $400

Note that this option alone takes 3 seconds off you quater mile time. 1 second because it is carbon fiber, 2 sec.s as it is

a Shelby signature piece.

Yeah, I know all you haters out there are saying but Shelby's also have to stop, they aren't just about the quarter mile:

Step 3) http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/wanstop10/items/New_Brembo_Cover_Caliper_Universal_Fit_To_All_F_R - $10.

But it isn't a Cobra?

Step 4) hit up Ford Racing for a couple fendor badges: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=9602 -$75

Yeah - a bit pricey, but everyone knows that a Cobra is at least a second faster in the 1/4 mile than a normal mustang. Still, it really needs some stripes to really finish off the Shelby look: http://www.fordmustanggraphics.com/ - not sure what the price is, but they are genuine Ford parts and can clearly turn your normal Mustang into a GT500. Lets assume another 1 sec. off the quarter mile at $200 once this mod is completed.

So, while all you haters are still waiting on signed dash plates and certificates of authenticity to make your $50K - GT500 a real Shelby; I'll be driving a 1 of 1, Shelby signed, Hertz, Cobra, GT500 that I'm sure MM&FF will test to a sub 10 sec 1/4 mile. (Just to be clear, without drag tires.) All for just under $18,500. :salute:

(In all seriousness, car mods should make you happy, not the random members of a board that happen to comment, most of whom you will never meet in person.)

yeah i was just curious, i might not use the giant cobra piece but wanted the sig piece and carbon fibre gt500 piece. I like those but not so much the other one . I bought it already and just wanted feedback or to see if anybody else had purchased this item.

I do like the retro look and I saw this in a supersnake and it stood out to me

The Carbon Fiber piece with the Shelby Signature doesn't look nearly as tacky as the cover....but still there are much better dress up mods that you could get for $400.

Looks pretty tacky to me, the interior on the 2010+ is about perfect the way it is, adding all kinds of billet, carbon, and more logos just overdoes it. Leave all that junk to the V6 and ricer crowd that want to dream about owning a GT500 IMHO.

I think the CF console cover with the sig is OK, but I would not install the cupholder cover. Too many Cobra's all in the same place, looks a bit overdone. But that's my opinion, if you like it then go for it.

Ya know, you might just post up the piece you dont use for sale, then you recover some of the cost of the $400 MOD, and 1 person installs the cupholder and you get the console cover. Just a thought?

Not having anything else carbon fiber, nor wanting anything else carbon fiber, I just don't see why that would be the one thing that you would want to be CF. It's just awkward looking and seems out of place if you ask me. I have never been a fan of CF in the interior at all though so maybe my opinion is bias. I would love a nice Shelby plaque with Mr. Shelby's signature on it, but that specific piece just doesn't make the cut for me.
