hellmaster
Does anyone else find the seat belts in the SGT very uncomfortable? The way they press into your collar bone bugs the shit out me me and my wife. Is there anything you can do about it?
jmn444
maybe it's because I lean back a bit driving, but they feel fine to me...

ingram4868
Walmart sells a plastic clip that goes on the lap portion and allows you to adjust the shoulder piece so it will not touch your neck. In an accident the plastic gives way. They were like $4.00 for two.

ShelbyGT/SC
Yes yes hell yes. They used to aggrivate the hell out of me. I finally went with a harness and it solved it. Plus it was for the racing.
snatchss454
Yeah I totally agree, that is one of my only complaints about this car. I was wondering if there was something that could be attached to the headrest to keep the shoulder belt at a better angle and off my neck. Something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Genuine-Holder-Models-Headrest/dp/B000NOZX5A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1275359328&sr=8-3 Shane
grsybtch
The little plastic things work pretty good, but wear out quick (after a little while they won't stay put) but , yeah the belts cut right across the side of my neck no matter where I put the seat. I would have thought at 5' 10" I was of average height but they sure didn't design them for me.
MikeCMM
I always wear the belt under my left arm. I know this isn't the right answer but I always find the shoulder strap on all vehicles very uncomfortable.

ShelbyGT/SC
Schroth 3" 4 point silver. Wanted the 5 point for racing but heard too many stories of losing manlihood in an accident.

backafter20
I had the same problem, and didn't like the little clips from WalMart. If you go to Ford, they will give you a seat belt extender for free. It is an OE quality seat belt segment with a buckle on each end. It moves the shoulder strap over just enough to make it comfortable. And it's FREE!!! It's probably intended for larger people, but I explained the shoulder strap issue, and they ordered me one without hesitation. Only took a couple of days to come in. I'm on my second Mustang, and wouldn't want to do without it.

Thanks :happy feet: I know you said it's free at the dealer but for $17 I just ordered it online... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-SEAT-BELT-EXTENDER-EXTENSION-MUSTANG-MILAN-ZEPHYR-/320523494055?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aa0b062a7#ht_1194wt_1165

avidShelby
I've had the same problem with the belt cutting across my neck. The belts are the only gripe I've got with the car. Since I have a 2007 SGT, I tried updating the seat belts to the 2008 type. I thought that the small bracket on the 2008 belts would lift the belt off my neck. But that didn't work... Next I tried the seat belt extender from the dealer. That did move the belt off my neck, but I didn't like the way the belt fit across my torso... So tomorrow, I guess I'll drive over to Wal-Mart and pick up some of those clips. I sure hope the clips work!
WildAzCat
I've been driving with the seat belt extender for a few days and I will say this did the trick. The belt is no longer cutting into my neck. :happy feet:
