My 2011 GT500 Pics

I was asked for some pics following my 2011 review. (Yes, I really own one :shift: ) Anyway, took a drive today down Higway 1 in CA and got some pictures.

Something like 200 miles round trip, so I have a just over 1000 miles on it now. Only changes are that the shifter feel is getting noticably better as the miles go by and I have a new coating of bugs from the inland HWY101 ride back up.

Anyone willing to sign on to Proposition that bans mini-vans and rental campers from HWY1?

Kona blue with teh stripe delete is looking pretty sweet. Looks like you aren't wasting much time breaking her in, I still have a dream to travel all the way from the northern part of HWY 1 in Wasington to the southern portion in Cali talking pictures along the way very simlar to the ones you posted. Such awesome view there, I'd have to take a picture at each "welcome to" each state

Beautiful car!

I noticed that about the shifter too and am very glad. The feel with 8 miles on the clock was awful. Like rowing through mud (was never sure if I was in gear and thought I was probably bending something). I guess I'm used to the Hurst in my '07 GT/CS.

Very nice car and pics; the latter has reminded me I've not been to California in almost 10 years(and I live right next door in Vegas). I'm off 3 months this summer starting June 3(I love teaching elementary school!) and am taking a car trip up and down the coast for sure. Love the Kona Blue and your decision to stripe delete. The only color stripe I would want on Kona would be white but, alas, that's not available with the SVT performance package. I'm waiting till winter to buy mine. Good luck with yours.

Thanks all for the compliments. Hope everyone gets their chance to run down Highway 1 in a Mustang.

There were quite a few rental Mustang verts making the drive. Now that the 2011 rental v6 Mustang has nearly the HP of the GT-H of a couple years back, that might not be a bad way to make the trip. I also saw a new GT-350 (I think) on the drive down and had a chance to play with a Viper, nothing serious, we just took turns passing the Memorial Day weekend 5-6 slow car packs. The CHP has been out in force all weekend.....

Car looks great, congrats, excellent color for a stripe delete!

That stretch of road is awesome. I bought my car in NorCal and drove it 500 miles down to SoCal along Hwy 1. What a unforgetable epic day!

Love this shot, somewhere around San Luis Obispo

Wow those pics are amazing the car looks so good. I have the exact build as yours I may have to take some of those. I don't have background as nice as that anywhere. I'll have to tell people I took a 3000 mile road trip. congrats on a beautiful car

Nice Ride!

You can drive in CA with Dealer tags? Must be nice!

Sticker package thing on the lower right of the windshield is the official temporary registration. Leaving on the dealer license plate/advertisement thingy (as much as it pains me) is supposed to be a hint to the CHP that it is a new car, and if they'd look harder they'd see the temporary registration sticker, and so they don't need to pull me over for a paper work check. I've found that at least 50% that one getts pulled over they'll find something to write you up for, even after you are absolved completely for whatever the original excuse was.
