hdrider193
Due to shipper accident and subsequent dealer repair, I need to replace the small center blue hood stripe that goes down the center of the painted silver hood scoop. Dealer claims they made email inquiry somewhere but, does anyone know where these might be obtained? Shelby American? Ford Dealer parts department? I haven't a clue but if someone does, please advise, thanks.
kahmann
You need to open a warranty claim with your dealer's service department. They will need to contact Ford Racing to get the replacement coming.
07SGT4578
You will not get a replacement from Shelby American, Guaranteed. The Shelby GT was never made with blue stripes. Silver only. Chris
kahmann
^He's talking about the hood scoop. The scoop itself is painted silver with a blue vinyl stripe down the center on the VB's. Your hood scoop originally had a black vinyl stripe down the middle of it. Edited May 23, 2010 by kahmann

Take to a local auto graphics company for a suitable match 3. Get a quote to use the actual VB paint and paint the stripe on Edited May 23, 2010 by JeffIsHereToo

Far less hassle with any of these options. ah, my bad. It surprised me too the first time I realized that the scoop itself was silver! Correct. The dealer needs to call the Shelby Warranty Center at 1800.367.3788. They will make a claim for us to process. Rob
