Due to shipper accident and subsequent dealer repair, I need to replace the small center blue hood stripe that goes down the center of the painted silver hood scoop. Dealer claims they made email inquiry somewhere but, does anyone know where these might be obtained? Shelby American? Ford Dealer parts department? I haven't a clue but if someone does, please advise, thanks.

^He's talking about the hood scoop. The scoop itself is painted silver with a blue vinyl stripe down the center on the VB's. Your hood scoop originally had a black vinyl stripe down the middle of it.

I would:

1. Call SA and inquire for a price and availability they only place to get an official part

2. Take to a local auto graphics company for a suitable match

3. Get a quote to use the actual VB paint and paint the stripe on

This is much better advice than I gave originally.

Far less hassle with any of these options.

ah, my bad.

It surprised me too the first time I realized that the scoop itself was silver!

You will need approval before it can be purchased through the Shelby Warranty Assistance Center. The number is: 1-800-367-3788.

Correct.

The dealer needs to call the Shelby Warranty Center at 1800.367.3788.

They will make a claim for us to process.
