ShowCar
I went yo GLD last night with my customers for our annual track night. With my new Whipple/FRPP Big boost kit installed with the 3.25 pulley and FRPP tune and the car clicked off two 12.0's at 118mph with a DA of 1500ft. and 75 degree temps. my 60fts. were in the 1.7's. I think its safe to say the 475HP kit from Ford Racing is underrated. I was seeing 12lbs. of boost all night FRPP claims 8lbs. I used Mickey Thompson drag radials because street tires were useless. Im one very happy customer with Whipple and FRPP.
TheKurgan
IMO you better keep it as an annual event my friend. 12psi on the stock rods is probably close to 500whp and it won't last.
AstroDan
I think its safe to say the 475HP kit from Ford Racing is underrated. Is that the 475 kit, or the 550 that shows in your sig? My 550 is about 10psi and you see my WHP #'s in my sig...

ShowCar
The Kurgan, If the rods, pistons, or anything else go Im prepared for it. Ill build it stronger and faster. This isnt my first power adder car and not my last. There are motors with more power than mine still alive and theres NA motors that blow with a mild tune. Its the tune that is really important to keep a drivetrain reliable. AstroDan, Ford claims 475HP in all the ads for the automatics but, somewhere along the line they changed the pulley to a 3.25 and the tune along with it. I confirmed with a few sources and now the track, that the car makes more than the advertised 475HP. I bought the Big Boost kit and then received the 475HP auto tune from FRPP. We installed the kit and tune and went to the track.

Most of the blown 3V's I've seen don't do any damage to the heads or blower but if it does happen then you're back to square one. I plan on doing a similar build this winter and I hope my bottom end holds up too!
ShowCar
The Mustang club I sponsor did a video that night. The video is long but you can see my runs along with my wifes Fusion Hybrid that ran 16.5 at 87mph. Not bad for a family sedan that gets 40mpg.
