DaFreak
Hey all, I had my car dynoed today on a DynoJet using the Winpep7 software. I drove an hour to the shop and Corrie immediately strapped it up and did 3 pulls. No cooldown before or in between each and there were no fans. I captured HD video of each pull while standing right next to the car. Man is it loud! You can see on the first pull the line looks a little strange. The tires were not warm yet and he slipped (I could tell by the burnt rubber smell). The other pulls were pretty good (no slipping) and seemed to capture the HP that was there. What is your assessment of the numbers (my mods are listed in my sig)? I'm still new to this so I'm not sure what to make of it. Here's a copy of the printout: Thanks, DaFreak
BigDan
That TQ # look's low considering your 10% lower. Looks like your tune is on conservative side.

That's what I was thinking too. Justin at VMP requested data logs (hence the reason for the dyno pulls) so I'd imagine he's gonna be doing some tweaking?? ChrisSD
You need to run a high speed in front of the car.
Spring Lil Cobra
it would have been nice to see the a/f ratio on the dyno sheet. do you have a baseline to compare against? SLC

65427cobra
That A/F chart is all over the place. I had my 2010 GT500 based lined the other day (on a dynajet) and the factory A/F was conservative but the line showed very little varibility...started lean and got richer as the RPMs climbed. Would have loved to see the base line on this car. I have the same mods waiting to be installed. I know you can not compare dynos but my car based lined at 478/457 and with the mods you did (upper. lower, dport, and tune...) I would expect around 100 hp/100 Tq on top of that...so for me I am looking at 575/550 from your mods. Hard to tell without a base line to compare to but your numbers look low for your mods. bpmurr
Tailpipe Then you might as well throw those numbers out. If you want accurate AFR you need to have a professional install a bung before the cats. It shouldn't cost more then $100 bucks. Try not to get too caught up in the numbers. I'm sure you can drive up to another dyno and pickup power. Too bad you don't have a baseline on that same dyno to measure your gains with. For instance my numbers were low but I picked up the same amount as others with higher numbers, just my base was lower.

You don't have to have a bung installed. The dyno operator can pull out an O2 and use that. O2's are turned off at WOT.

True but I've always had the bung installed. Regardless tailpipe messurements are worthless.

DaFreak DaFreak: Thanks for posting the A/F portion. A good dyno tune will smooth out the ratio and you should see an improvement in performance and probably mileage. It looks like your ratio is bouncing all over. A ration of 11.8-12.2 is the range mine reads once the rpms start to climb (see attached). DaFreak
Good stuff all! Thanks for your input, I feel much better It's tough to find a good dyno facility in my area. Looks like I need to do some research and maybe drive er to Portland (2hrs away) soon. Thanks, DaFreak
