Looking for best body shop in LA, after woman hits me from behind!

I was hit by a lady from behind yesterday in an suv going about 10 miles an hour in the middle of the day. I was in shock that she did it since my car is grabber blue! Anyway, does anyone know of a really good body shop to take it to get it repaired here in LA, preferably the Sherman Oaks area? How is Galpin's body shop?

Thanks

Kenny

Yes, Galpin's body shop is quite good. Their painter is one of the best in the business.

...and she probably said, "you should have been going faster"... I was cussing just this morning, taking my son to school in the Bullitt... and being tailgated by a woman in a black Tahoe. I hit the brakes and was almost rear-ended, but she stayed back after that. Stupid bit.

I can't recommend a good body shop, but I certainly won't recommend Galpin. I really don't like that dealership.

Sorry to hear about the damage... Scary driving around here.

The body shop is independent from Galpin. Galpin, private parties, and other dealerships use them. You may not think highly of Galpin themselves, but the body shop they use is really quite good. Grabber Blue might be a difficult color to blend, but the son-of-a gun painter they have does it perfectly.

There was a shop is Santa Monica use to be called M1. I'll see if I can find the address.

One thing to know ... the car has been hit and needs bodywork, I believe its worth even less than what is stated by "blue book"

She should also pay for the depreciation that is now caused by the accident, plus the repair cost.

Sorry and good luck

Make sure her insurance company provides you a rental of 'comparable quality' IE you do not need to settle for the Geo Metro they will try to offer.

Next, AFTER the damage is repaired and before you sign off on the claim, ask to speak with the claims adjuster and discuss payment for lost valuation of the car. Even once repaired, the car is not worth what it was before the wreck. You are entitled to be paid for that difference. They will settle.

I hate to disagree with Enis, but I don't recommend the shop Galpin uses. I took my vert there because of the creases that happen in the rear fender area. Pretty simple fix I'd say but they did a remarkably incompetent job. Now I'm looking for someone to fix their "fix" - which means a complete panel respray. Not happy.
