BIKEBOY
Anybody know if, or has anyone tried to fit the 18"X9" SALEEN Heritage (silver) bullet-style wheels to the GT500??? The wheels that came on the Racecraft 420S. I have contacted SALEEN, and they believe they MIGHT fit, but cannot assure me. I also asked www.foundadealllc.com, on E-Bay who sells them, and he is not too sure either. I really like the 18" Bullitt look, and they seem to be the closest to a 'possible' fit of anyone!? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! You may contact me if you'd like @ shelbybikeboy@yahoo.ca Thx, and Cheers.
EL SHELBY
I've wondered the same. I assumed they did because they fit the saleen big brake kit.
BIKEBOY
I've wondered the same. I assumed they did because they fit the saleen big brake kit. Thanks for replying so quickly...You know, SALEEN told me that 'some' of the cars had 14" rotors and their big brake kits. However, I have downloaded many photos of the 420S car, and all appear to me to have std. GT front calipers/rotors. He did mention that when installed on their big brake kits, that they were 'really close'!
motorjock205
Well, really close is ok as long as the wheel doesn't ever get bent enough to contact them....the original caliper on the SGT was within 1/8th of an inch of the stock wheel, so "really close" may work... Good Luck, and let us know what you finally find out...
EL SHELBY
I had some photos with them and the saleen kit. Aren't the bembros 14"? I do think the bembros are thicker then most other calipers.

I am old school that way.

Blip
Believe I was the first to have the big 14" brakes from the PJ installed on a 2007 H281 Heritage with the 18" rims. Originally, Saleen engineers didn't think it would fit, but techs at SSV did a test fit and it cleared. Clearance was very tight and I did pick up a few scratches on the inside of the rim as I lived on a back road which has some loose gravel on the edges. Here's an old photo taken during the build at SSV. (The 19" rims have a slightly different spoke design.)

Looks REAL close! Bikeboy
