snakeman
Update: 2011 Vert ordered, went with the Silver, I know what color that looks like When you build your own, on Fords site, the Colorado Red on the 2011 is a completely different darker color. Has anybody seen or have pics of 2011 red stripe?
John Canfield
Original Colorado Red became Torch Red in 2003. The tag on the various (chin spoiler, rocker extentions, etc.) parts of my 2003 Mach 1 were tagged Colorado Red, not TR although the window sticker says Torch Red. Don't know about a new TR color, but it hasn't changed since '03.
GOTVENOMGT500
I noticed that also, the name changing to Colorado Red, then read the paint code was D3 which is the same paint code as Torch Red they just call it by two different names. Guess I'll wait to see a red striped car (non SVT package) stripe car in person.

GOTVENOMGT500
Seems odd to me that the actual paint code would be the same but the color be different, though it might be do to color fading and also wax. My Rio Red on my 97 gets darker/deeper after a good wax. Using the same code then having the colors look different makes little sense because of touch ups, they'll never match. I had a marina blue vette,1998, and parked next to a 65 marina blue, same paint code, and they were vastly diffreent..Same thing with Pontiacs. I aksed the Auto Color guys,a nd they told me the actual paint formulation was different depending on the year for that paint code

An OEM Paint Code can also have up to 10 alternate formulas for the same code. It can drive a body shop painter nuts, trying to match a color.
