Goats4ever
350 miles on my 725 HP Snake and while driving I can hear a noise that I am familiar with after owning many manual shift Muscle Cars, and it sure sounds like a throw out bearing. I can hear the noise in first and second gear and then it goes away. Anyone have similar noise? I don't think this is normal. I do not have the TSB package installed in the car. Thanks for any assist on this. Jim

What you describe sounds more like a transmission bearing, possibly a counter-shaft bearing. I'd have to see a power flow-chart for the transmission before I could say for sure. Does it make *any* noise in 4th gear? (1:1, direct drive from input to output shafts) Phill

That noise has been there since the car was new. Jim
07SGT4578
The 2005-2010 Mustang uses a concentric slave cylinder instead of a conventional throwout bearing. Maybe the slave cylinder is making this noise. Chris
