jmn444
$21K isn't going to by many shelbys! I'm not sure what the scoop is here.... BUT, I would opt for a gt350r

jmn444
You already have a modern one I'm assuming since you are on here, so I would suggest buying classics personally, You won't have to wait for them to appreciate in value, which would also allow you to buy and sell in and out of MANY different cars over the years without losing any money (generally). Own a different high end classic every 6 months, you could drive them without worry about adding a ton of miles in that short time, and still get your money right back... But I like variety
SPEEDY168
With enough money you can get anything. Start a "business" then contact Shelby, have them build you your own special vehicle (which ever style you prefer Super Snake, GT...) Then document document document. Start to finish, pictures of Shelby signing it, videos, dates, have lunch with Shelby (after giving him a "donation" for his children's fund) then pick it up at Shelby American with Shelby handing you the keys. Then write it all off as a business expense and donation. You would have a 1 of 1 and it would be priceless.

jmn444
IF you don't have a modern shelby, I would go SS. KR might be a better investment, but the SS looks like a hell of a driving package to me.
ShelbyGT/SC
One of each. Or an R model or Daytona, or F150, or one that included one of the models from the "girls and Mustangs" thread, or any one from Ron Pratte's collection especially the orig SS Cobra. SteelTownStang
Not a Shelby, but in the family... If I could have any car... It be a matching (red w/white stripes) Ford GT.
jmn444
Yeah, the Ford GT is the top of my modern car list too. It's one of the few cars I'd have trouble putting miles on though, I'd want two of them, one to sit and look pretty and the other to drive every day ! shelbykam
2008 KR for me! Maybe even one I built! I saved a list with every CSM # I built for the KR's and SS but who knows where I put it?

kahmann
Congrats on your lawsuit and for filing the claims to begin with. If a pilot can't speak up about FAA regulations being broken, I don't know who can. I think I remember you already owning an SGT. Regardless, I'd put my dough on a new GT-350. It'll have a hell of an engine in it, plus it's scheduled to be a more limited build than the SGT was. No matter which car you choose, you ought to be awfully happy with it. Good luck Dave. GT500 rolls
I'd go for a 67 GT500 with inboard lights. Investment quality and I'd buy an enclosed trailer. However, I'd still drive it to local shows, trailer it to others, unload it to drive around and then trailer it back home. The other car would be a 68 GT500 KR convertible and the trailer. Ken Actually the 2008 Shelby GT was the lowest number produced by Shelby (2171) at least in modern cars, and from what I have been told by Shelby. I would have to agree with you Ken, and buy a new GT 350.. Very very cool !! I would like to trade my 08SGT on one, just don't have the extra 25K it will take, at least!! thewheelman
Hmm, make a list! Daytona Coupe, original 289 Cobra, maybe a Ford GT, original GT 350, but none would take the place of my 07 vert for a daily driver! I love it!

To me, Shelbys are the best and I would not ever sell, just them pass on.
