John Canfield
I''l repeat here what I mentioned in another thread: Woudln't it be cool to see a Cobra Daytona Coupe done up in the condition that CSX 2287, the lost Daytona, was found in and before it was cleaned up. I see there is a dirtied up Daytona in the near future, so it wouldn't be a stretch to see something similar in 1:64 and/or 1:18 with Phil Spectors goofy lettering on the door, as well as poor paint and dings and so forth. Whiel we're wishing, how hard it would it be to make a second release of this Shelby showroom, except to make it circa '66, with the '66 GT-350, 427 Cobra and maybe a Daytona Coupe and others on the showroom, and more 'vintage' looking details? 2008GT-C
Excellent I think I see a GT-C in the window. It will make a great addition to my other Shelby diecast. Kudos to who ever came up with the idea. -Kevin
WISMACH1
yes Hi Sharon, Are the cars pictured, the ones that will be in the set ? Or are they just prior releases used for the photos ? The reason I ask is that the white 2007 Shelby GT500 with red stripes is a limited edition that was done up last year for AutoFest 2009. I understood that it was a short run piece that was ONLY done for the AF event. I was the one that worked with Robert T. to have these done. I would hope that these will not be in the set seeing as they were only for our event. Can you please shed some light on this ? Thanks.
