EL SHELBY
Can you still purchase a Shelby branded Paxton?
jmn444
Yes, you can buy the shelby paxtons, but shelby won't put them in as a gt/sc. i beleive the shelby branded ones are all 1200 series blowers though, might be better off to buy the 2200 w/o the shelby tag for about the same price point. shelbyguy470
Can you still purchase a Shelby branded Paxton? My understanding is that The People's State of California pulled their CARB approval and Shelby needs everything that comes out of their shop to be 50 state legal for them to install it. EL SHELBY
I knew about the cuffs on Shelby as far as installation but I don't recall seeing the Shelby branded unit in the last catalog.
jmn444
they aren't in the shelby store either... champion mustang has them listed though...
ndwhitehorse
I heard they sold 100 or 101 or thereabouts of the shelby badged paxtons in 2007, and about exactly half were installed by Shelby...I have Paxton #82 that was dealer invoiced & Shelby installed in late October of 2007. jmn444
Are you saying only half were official GT/SC's, or that half installed at vegas, and the other half installed at tasca/quantum/etc?
WI-GT/SC
I have SGT#5065, SAI installed Paxton #100, Shelby invoiced 12/03/07 B)
speedyburd33
Some info from Shelby with some hard numbers of all the SC's and what they are would be pretty cool.
WI-GT/SC
When I was building this car and in contact with Bud regularly I had asked him mine could be the last Paxton out of the Mod shop. I never really got confirmation on this. I do know the numbers are not in sequence do to some Paxton's being sold from the store & in house projects. We'll have to wait for the Registry to know for sure.
RogerS
Paxtons were not installed by number sequence in the Mod Shop. Unofficial numbers were 46 paxton units out of the mod shop. Hope this helps. Roger

HARALD KELLEY
For what it is worth, my GTH had the Paxton installed in September 2009 at SAI and it eded up with # 66. I thought it was kind of cool 2006 GTH 40th to the 1966 GTH with # 66 Paxton. Anyways this reaffirms the "no sequence".
JeffJ
Also, Shelby can still install the Paxton, but only on the 06 GT-H's. Carb approval is still fine on the 2006's.
usndvr79_merged
Also, Shelby can still install the Paxton, but only on the 06 GT-H's. Carb approval is still fine on the 2006's. That is interesting... I know they sold or used more paxton s/c's than they installed because my car was the first car sold to receive a paxton at shelby but the s/c # is #14. I know they had a test car or maybe a prototype or 2 shelby GT/SC. I wondered what happened to those cars?
fatboy
ahh who cares. just get a paxton and have some experienced mod shop to slap one on (shelby branded or not). and just get an exacto knife and cut out an "/SC" next to "SHELBY GT" on ur rocker panel stripes. muhahaha but seriously, i wish mine came with one. that would have been SWEEEEEEET!
