Frank S Posted April 30, 2010 Report Share Posted April 30, 2010 I want to compare the exclusivity of Shelby GTs with Ford Mustang GT/CSs, Near as I can tell, and I could be wrong, there were 18, 583 modern (2007-2009) GT/CSs), which may not count some overseas issues, if any. I'd bet they outnumber the SGTs by a bunch. Anyone know? (Something about my thought processes is incompatible with the Forum's Search function. I tried ...) I would guess the SGT wouldn't be included as I'm confident Ford would be using sales of the CS package to arrive at the number and the SGT, while it share some parts, did not use that order code. Looks as if the SGTs are quite a bit more exclusive than Ford's Mustang GT/CSs, as I suspected. Also looks as if the four who have Grabber Orange automatic coupes should hang on to them. There will (should ) be no others ever made again. So in the long term these are great limited edition cars with extraordinary appearance. But as always, if it was not a GT/SC, the hp just sucked! This car came with the gauge pod in the middle of the dash as well as different sill plates that say California on them. Thanks in advance for any info you may have. If one does a check on HP of Shelby's (not AC's) of years gone by - then check the 1/4 times - the SGT is there... Unless, I get tired of this SGT and can find a NA - GT350 for a reasonable price in years to come; 07SGT2930 has a great home right here with me... . Also if I am not mistaken the 2006 Shelby GT-H's was the first mustangs produced in 40 years so with that trend I do not see any of the total 9000 units being any less special than any others, it's all about great cars and great people. Don I'd also like to chime in with Don as the banners hanging in the Shelby production facility clearly say 5,632 for the 2007 SGT run. Don If you look at the banner closely it shows 5632 units (2260 Performance White, 3372 Ebony Clearcoat).
