COBRA SCOTTY
HEY SCOTTY HERE , TRYING TO FIND OUT THE RIDE HEIGHT OF THE FRP SUSPENSION OR IF SOME ONE HAS THE SAME SETUP. I HAVE SOME 20 " ALCOAS WITH 255/35/20 FOR THE FRONT AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE WHEELS OFFSET AND IF IT IS GOING TO RUB ON THE INNNER FENDER OF MY SHELBY GT/SC WHICH HAS THE FORD FRP SUSPENSION. THE SAME THAT IS ON THE SUPER SNAKE. I APPRECIATE ANY ALL HELP AND THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSES. SCOTTY
08 Mustang
If you're referring to the FRP springs, as I'm sure you already know, they drop the car approx 1.25", which is less than than what the Eibach Pro-Kit does and that's what I have in my car. I''ve been driving mine for months now and never had any rubbing issues.
dbackg
Check out Rag Top Day post: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/42454-suspension-upgrade-for-my-convertible-gt500/ Are you are referring to the SuperSnake Alcoas? Fronts: no problems yet. I am NOT happy with the rear end suspension set up. I too have a convertible, with the SuperSnake package. I opted for the standard SVT COUPE HANDLING PACK FRPP M-2007-FR3SVT on the SS. this kit includes: 2007-2010 MUSTANG GT / SVT ADJUSTABLE DAMPER KIT - FRPP - M-18000-C. Rear Shocks: TOKICO http://www.tokicousa.com/Products/SP/ PROBLEM: I am please with its stance, ... not all the time, however, it seems my rear end squats and bottoms out when I stomp it and sounds like the driveshaft hits the underside. It is a noticeable/significant "THUMP" coming hard out of 1st & 2nd gear. I also inspected the rear tire wheel wells - there definitely is some residual tire/rubber from the tires hitting. Have always admired how deep and wet your red looks. Thanks!
08 Mustang
What size of rubber are you using on your Alcoas? Wondering to what wax you use? Have always admired how deep and wet your red looks. Thanks! First off, thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Regarding the tires, I am running the exact same sizes that come on the Super Snakes, 255/35/20's up front and 275/35/20's out back. I am extremely happy with them and the stance they add to the overall look of the car. Regarding wax, I use the following that a detailing friend of mine turned me onto because of the color of my car. He said that it would really deepen the red paint, and it did! http://www.poorboysworld.com/natty-blue.htm
