I have a pair (I know you only need one) of SS Bassani's made for the GT Stang if you're interested. I'll sell them cheap enough for you not to care that you have two of them.

Was hoping to save $$ by going with take-offs, but pm me a price range, and I'll think about it.

Wonder how Bassani's would sound on a v6 :)

Did you get fixed up?

Nope - no pm's. I'm suspecting most who replaced their exhaust ebay'd the parts, or want to keep them.

Work's been kicking my ass lately (today was 1am - 5pm!) so I haven't had time to really follow up or do any looking for alternatives.

Justin @ vmp contacted me about a pretty good combo deal on a GT takeoff muffler, tuner, tunes & cai. Might just go that route. 25rwhp more on my v6... it's a start ;)

Right on Tony.

I have a friend that just bought an 05 GT with a V^ and it has dual exhaust on it. It sounds good.

You are going to like the upgrade if you choose to do it. :shift:

I'm not going duals. Basically my goal is to keep to bolt ons, which are easily removed. That way, if I decide to sell the car, I can return it to stock. Some things, like the tuner, I can re-use on the GT, too :)

Sorry, somehow I missed that. PM me a price - I haven't bought anything yet. Though as I said, I'm leaning towards VMP's deal.

(PS - I have heard great things about Justin and considered going by his shop as he is only a few hours away)

.. Hey if you need any other parts my garage is full!!!!

It must be because they sure aren't on your car. I was looking at the FR500c again today. It cracks me up that they use the normal inside door opener with the satin trim bolted to the door shell. That's all that's on the door - just a bare shell and the door handles.

Thanks for helping kraeger! As Ruf would say "Good form"

My pleasure. In this hobby/sport I cannot even begin to repay all of the people who helped me. By the way....my satin door handles are the only thing left in my doors too. However, there is a huge pile of wires that we hope to deal with soon!! Bye bye to my beloved speakers....stereo....heating....A/C, emergency brake, carpet, headliner, seats, spare and any other item that you don't need, that ways over one ounce! Cure? Go fast.

I know several of you have swapped your stock GT mufflers for something else, was wondering if anyone has a GT muffler that they'd be willing to sell? I just need one, not going duals on my v6.

If so, please pm me with a price.

Thanks much gang!

Hey, guess I am late to this discussion, have not been very active here for a while. 3 degrees and salt on the road does that to me I guess. Did you get your muffler yet? I have a free one for you also, I live in Michigan outside of Flint, and drive through Indiana all the time, as it is in my home service coverage area (the great lakes/big area) for my job. Let me know. I have not taken the old mufflers off yet, close to buying new flowmasters or corsa's for my car, and I will not be driving the car until it is warm now, so you are welcome to which every muffler you need, think it is the right side, right? Hope you got your muffler, and like I said, I could drop it off somewhere for you on my way to a job there in the area. no freight charge then, ok! If you need anything else, let me know. I am taking off the rear bumper and front bumper cover also, as well as the hood. You could have those also, I don't do the E-bay thing, so they will probably just be sitting in my shed gathering dust. I drive a big E-350 van, so the parts would fit in there no problem. I am leaning towards the GT/CS rear bumper and a California Dream hood from RK sport. Have not decided on the front bumper cover yet, might go with the GT/CS cover, or a street scene cover. I don't know, but I am making my car into the "Michigan Special". Good luck with your car, the car is like a blank canvas, there are millions of ways you can customize it, that is why I love mustangs.

Thanks for the offer, man. I have mikspny checking on shipping for me, so I think I'm set. If something doesn't work out there, I'll let ya know.

If your car was alloy, I'd think about the rear bumper, in case I ever go with dual exhaust. I don't see that happening, though, and don't want to paint it.

Thanks a lot for the offer man, good form.

Did you get the muffler yet? My Corsa's are inbound, so my mufflers will be in the shed by next weekend probably! Good luck, if you need anything let me know, the parts will be flying off of my car this year! Next up, body work! Gotta pay for the performance mods first though! Cannot wait for my bonus to get here in a month or so! Later gaters

Still hoping to hear from mikspny on shipping costs. I should have my federal tax return by the end of this week, and then it's time to talk to Justin @ vmp about a tuner, tunes & cai. :banana piano:

I'll have to make sure to get some before & after sound clips. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get it on a dyno before I do the mods, so I won't have a comparison there.
