Dakota
I saw a very nice Shelby GT-H "Hertz Edition" for sale at a Ford dealer in Golden, Colorado. 8000 miles. Asking $78,000.
crispy23c
There's one w/ only 10,000 miles on ebay with a "buy it now" of $59,999. Not cheap, but better by far: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-FORD-M...1QQcmdZViewItem I don't think these will really start to sell until you see very low $50's or below. Until then it's the (very) few gotta have it folks who have purchased these at the sky-high asking prices... By the way, a month or so ago, I am pretty sure this ebay car is the same car that they were asking $75 for.

Although it was absolutley fantastic to drive!!!

reb
Maybe they can rent it out for a few months to get the price down a little bit.
Five Oh B
I don't think these will really start to sell until you see very low $50's or below. Unfortunately for dealers (and ultimately, customers), Ford/Hertz is still getting more than low $50's at auction from dealers.

You comment reminded me of an old saying for breaking in new engines (or newly rebuilt engines): "baby it during break in, and you'll get a baby." I've always subscribed to the school of thought that a new car should be driven as it is intended to be driven. In a performance car, that would mean drive it hard or "drive it like you stole it (or rented it?)."

Mark25
Just make sure it isn't the one that Edmunds.com test drove...they flogged the living heck out of it (they even disabled the traction control system on it so they could "melt" the tires)...no "rental" for me...ever!
