mywickedshelby
I recently went throught the entire Shelby Store site and picked the items I wanted to buy. About $500 of items were loaded to the shopping cart. Several times I went back to add and delete items as I decided what to buy.....so I know the stuff was there in the cart...... Today I logged onto the Store and only 3 items remain totaling $50 some odd dollars? Does your shopping cart get timed out? Why would you remove items from my cart? Does this mean they are discontinued and I should look elsewhere to spend my money? Newsflash......Im not spending another hour going through the entire site again......... Suggestion....correct this problem before it creates anomousity and MANY LOST SALES.

I will have to look into this, it might remove items if they are on back order or no longer available or out of stock. I will let you know. there might also be a time limit to the amount of time that you can keep items in your shopping cart with out purchasing them, This is the first complaint about this that I have received. I will get back to you on Monday and let you know the exact details. You can always email me if you have any problems also and I can have someone call you back if you are ready to order. Thank you very much Sharon...........I wasnt trying to make a stink.......recently several concerns have been posted and Robert has addressed them thanking folks for bringing the issue to his attention.... so I thought it would be ok to post it...........my apologies if an email would have been more appropriate. sharon
If the item went on back order or was temporarily out of stock or it was discontinued it would have taken it out of your cart. If it was an item that we where low on it would have taken it out of your cart to let someone else buy it in that moment. Also if the cart is to old it will after a certain amount of time remove items from your cart. The only way for me to know what items, is for you to send me the item that you had in your cart that was removed and I can tell you when and if we are getting that item back. We constantly are restocking items each week. Things are moving fast. We might be out on Thursday and it takes it out of your cart then on Friday I ad more stock. The system will not ad that item back into your cart once it has been removed. I hope this helps let me know if you have any more questions. I didnt think putting it in my cart would hold the item and prevent someone else from buying it. I thought that would happen when I processed the order. My bad......I put the items in and figured they would stay there until I was ready to buy. I wont add items to my cart until I am ready to buy....in fact, I'll remove the remaining items in there so they can be freed up for others to purchase. thank you again Sharon for the prompt response. sharon
You can keep the items in your cart but once the item gets to a low inventory quantity it will remove it from your cart once someone buy it.

robertlane
Michael, Several interesting points that you have raised here. I will investigate this matter and see if we can't make some changes.
pottydr
Why not try to fix the email notifications set up correctly, so when you get a email about some parts that are in stock and you call two minutes later. A person say's that they already sold out, last week. That would be helpful, Rick

They can't make enough!
twitch43
Add the items you want to buy to your Wish List that way it is free to be purchased by someone else, and then when you are ready to buy, Just add it to your shopping cart and purchase them. I have a few items in my Wish List right now.
bimrock
Robert> Since you and Sharon seem to be trying to resolve Shelby Store issues why not remove items that are no longer available and quite posssibly will never b e available again? ie embroidered headrests. Also, i have ordered a Shelby GT hat over a mon th ago, been charged for the hat against my credit card and still on backorder. Dont offer merchandise and charge the customer if you cant deliver. This continuing response of looking for a new supplier is old.
robertlane
Agreed. It's frustrating to find parts listed that won't come back into stock. Here's what we'll do: hide any children of an item that's discontinued.
