I want to change my Air Filter on the SGT, does anyone have suggestions with Manuf. #'s so I can pick one up today. :headscratch:

Thanks guys and gals - Doc

Steeda has a replacement that is blue cost $54.00. Same filter that came on our cars.

Amsoil makes a good looking filter. Contact member 'greaser' for details, as he's an Amsoil dealer.

Doc,

I honestly do not know the part # but I did get mine from Greaser, I just told him what I needed and he took care of the rest, simple process with Greaser, shipping was included.

I just replaced mine last week with one from Ford Racing. The item code number, which I assume is the part number, is M-9601-C. Ford's description is "Ford Racing/Steeda Shelby GT 90MM Cold Air Intake Replacement Filter. It's blue whereas the one that came on it was not.

Yes Laurence, very similar to K&N. Actually there's a lot of debate and posts here about reoiling or not. Seems to depend on which filter your SGT came with. But the reason I purchased a new one is to have a spare...when I clean my filter and let it dry, I don't want to be without the car till the filter dries. I just swap out the cleaned one each time. Didn't mean to confuse :D

IMHO...The stock SGT air filter system is a "lifetime" system, if you want it to be that.

I am-eh-(LuLu is still using "her) original original air filter system .

Yes...This system needs cleaning from time to time, depending on your use and your locale. But., I do not see any other "low restriction" benefits from any other air filter company doing this "low restriction" thingy any better than what came on the SGT from Shelby.

Don't get sold on anything "better" than you already own.

"Low restriction" means just that.

Low restriction.

"Permanent" means just that too.

Permanent.

Use an air gun to blow out the butterfllies of any stock Shelby stuff every few months, blown from the inside mind you, and follow that up with a few drops of "whatever" pre-oil y'all prefer (I prefer a dry filter), and you are good to go.

Y'all be safe, drive on.
