Shelby-At-Large
Howdy. I saw some metallic looking silver or chrome quarter window louvers on a pic here of somebody's vista blue Shelby (not sure if a GT or a Cobra), and I can't find them on the net yet. Anybody know who's car that is? The louvers are close to the same look as the stock satin aluminum wheels, are seen on the outside (the opposite of the flush louvers), and look like they only extend about 1/2-1" from the window. This probably doesn't sound very nice but they kinda look like metallic window blinds turned vertical. I'd like to see those again, and find out where I can get them. If you have them, how was the install, how do ya like them? Thank you.
speedyburd33
did you try doing a search within this forum about louvers?
Shelby-At-Large
I did and looked around quite a bit but haven't found anything. There was a guy here that had a pic of his car at the bottom of all his posts and he had them, but I can't find his pic any more. Haven't found these louvers on any other websites yet either. Will keep hunting.
kahmann
^Are you thinking of this pic? If so, these aren't louvers. They're the quarter window block off plates from Shelby Performance Parts.

The louvers I saw were much more metallic, pretty much matching the stock "polished satin aluminum" wheels, and I could clearly see the narrow louvers (the pic was a side shot). Maybe they are a custom job. Maybe I'm losing it Thanks for the attempt though.
kahmann
These are the only louvers I've ever seen that I liked on these cars. Perhaps someone had a set custom painted? http://www.silverhorseracing.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16141&category_id=

They look great and I might go that route, but I like the idea of adding a little shiny to the back end. The difference between the two is that the set I saw have the louvers on the outside.
