2007_Shelby_GT
Is this just over-glorified Saran wrap? http://www.buyroadwrap.com/ I'm seriously considering signing up for the Track Guys event at Sebring next month and looking to prep the car appropriately... Any assistance or advice accepted! Sam
mywickedshelby
I used the 3m Blue painters tape........stayed on, peeled right off with no glue residue, protected the car fairly well........
speedyburd33
That stuff doesn't look that bad. 2.5 mil is pretty thick for a wrap like that. You should try it and let us know how it works!!!
stormeaston
I used the 3m Blue painters tape........stayed on, peeled right off with no glue residue, protected the car fairly well........ +1 That's what I would use.
Dig-It
That's the stuff I'm going to use for my next track event. Painters tape started to come off mid-day and I still have adhesive residue on the front of my car.
John Albani
I used this at the January Shelby Bash. Worked great for bugs and track day. Uline Glass Protector.
apexdc
This is twice as thick and much more protection. Cost is comparable. www.trakktape.com
SGT0128
I've used the road wrap many times, works like a charm. Not one single mark on the front of my car.

apexdc
Well, I finally got my act together on the TrakkTape. I now have enough to be able to ship immediately. So, I'm going to put a deal out there to see if there are any takers. This stuff is perfect for track days. It's 5 mil thick. StarShield and most of the semipermanent clear bras are about 8 mil. It applies easily and comes off with no residue. If you apply it fairly carefully, it is virtually invisible in track photos, so no more BLUES. I tried a bunch of other tapes, but now I've been using it for about a year and really love it. The main reason I set up the web site and started stocking is that every time I do a track day, somebody wanted to buy the roll of tape I had been using. So I ordered a few here and there and then finally decided this was easier. Anyway, please check it out at www.trakktape.com. To get a few rolls out, I'll offer this deal to Teamshelby. On the order page, there is a Racers Net section at the bottom. If you type in "Teamshelby120", you will get a 6" x 600 FOOT! roll for $120, plus $12 shipping. Normal retail is $135. The 6" width is really easy to work with and 600 feet is a ton of tape, lots of track days worth. BUT, I am going to sell the first two rolls at $99 plus $12 shipping. One is already gone to Landshark. To get the other one, email me at info(at)trakktape and I will invoice you for the $111 total. This deal won't work through the normal ordering system. Shoot me an email with any questions at info(at)trakktape.com. Thanks for taking a peek.

apexdc
It's showing up at $120 in my paypal box with the Teamshelby120 code Oops, sorry. It may not be picking up the code correctly. We can do it a couple of ways as the $99 deal is temporary. I can invoice you $99 directly to your email or I will send you an IMMEDIATE $21 refund to your email. Does either of those work for you? Thanks, David

apexdc
Sure David. I'll PM my email Hi Landshark! Your roll just went out by USPS Priority. Two -three days, I think, to you. apexdc
Does anyone know if any three of these products are safe to use on the matte black stripes on the Super Snake? Thanks so much..... Aggie If they are factory stripes, TrakkTape should be safe. But you should still do a test down low in some inconspicuous area. Email me at "info(at)trakktape.com" and I will send you a sample to try. Stick a small piece on and leave it a couple days. I think it will come off fine. I just ran three track days over a ten day period with one TrakkTape install. There were no issues on it coming off clean with no residue on either StarShield or factory paint. Shoot me an email with your address if you want a sample. LandShark should have his order by now. Hopefully he will post after using it.
