MichaelP
Hi- It was recommended that I put a brake fluid with a "high dry boiling point" into car. Do our cars come with a brake fluid that would be ok for a few days around the track? The Ford dealer says they have DOT 4.. is that ok? Any other recommendations would be great...if it is even necessary.. Mike

I put it in my 05 GT but never ended up road racing so I didn't get the benefit. http://www.motorspotstore.com/rbf600radot4.html
GOTVENOMGT500
Have a friend that races her Vette and loves this stuff http://www.automotion.com/product.asp?pf_id=P801154&dept_id=4205# says she's never had any problems with mushy pedal etc. Also mentioned because they come in blue or gold it makes knowing when you have all the old fuild out much easier. MichaelP
ok. Thanks. looks like common denominator is the DOT 4 spec or better. Ordered the motul 600.
TRT 0403
Motul 600 was recommended to me and I've never had any problems on the track.
1FSTHRSE
ok. Thanks. looks like common denominator is the DOT 4 spec or better. Ordered the motul 600. it is a very good idea to upgrade the fluid and front pads also. i did a performance school at watkins a couple of years ago. what a blast. 140mph going into the boot on the back stretch and 130 into the 90 off the front...now that is fun. i went with Hawk performance pads....still usable on the street and good for that kind of track event. You will really be glad for the pads... i also hooked up the cooling vents through the lower valance....never had a fad problem. they do get hot at those speeds. but that involves getting the brake duct bezels for the grille opening..opening the grille..new rotor dust hats with cooling ducts and hose. but worth the time and money..imo good luck pm me when are you going, maybe we can meet up, i'm 20 minutes from the track. mike
ilmor
I used the brake fluid in my sig (click on the link) for a long track day and never had even a hint of fade. My HP Plus pads probably helped too!
